Bucic Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Then use chrome without an account? The account managing is like one of the good things about chrome. There is absolutely nothing Google does that forces you to use your real name. Hyperbole much? :music_whistling: Real name is hardly the only piece of personally identifiable information https://duckduckgo.com/?q=eff+personally+identifiable+information F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close
PFunk1606688187 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 There is absolutely nothing Google does that forces you to use your real name. Hyperbole much? :music_whistling: I never said they MADE ME use my real name, just that every goddamned time I log into youtube or something its like "Would you like to use your real name? Would you like to permanently change your account to that instead?" If I'm half awake and press the wrong button I'm probably gonna spend hours looking for a way to undo it. Its kind of like when you're on the playground and someone keeps trying to hand you a joint til you take a toke. I can make my own decisions, its just annoying. If you're gonna go at a hater, best you actually read what he said, yo. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
siipperi Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I think this is excellent news for people that make living from this kind of stuff (youtube + live streaming). Might suck for people that play illegal music on live streams but that shouldn't even happen on the first place. If this means easier following for live streaming via google integrations I'm all in personally.
Maximus_Lazarus Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Does this mean people can't be streaming music in the background now ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EtherealN Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Technically, they already "can't", unless they have obtained permission. TB talks about that in the piece I linked. The difference, really, is that no-one really bothered going after the streams. Youtube is different.
