not as easy as u think because it has to be in sync with the prop animation, imo the default startups are very well done.

I didn't imagine it would be easy. I just find it very underwhelming myself.

Just for the record, double antennas on top and single one under the belly are perfectly correct for Mustangs serving on the Far East (to be sure, I've just checked collection of shots from Iwo Jima) and, as an enthusiast of Pacific theater of ops, I'll say - don't you bastards even try removing these from my bird :D. If you want an European/Mediterranean Pony for upcoming '44 module, go ahead and request variant without antennas, but leave the current one as it is.

this tracer mod is basically a placebo(well, maybe the frames are slightly better, but its not adressing the real problem).the problem lies within the engine itself and it seems no mod can fix that currently. even with deleting the tracers, gunsmoke, bulletjackets completely, the frames will still go down the same way as they do with stock-files....unfortunately.

True, and the lag side effect is due to the performance hits on each front end.

thx try the incockpit slider settings noise cancel.

Tried that earlier today, and it caused more problems than fixes. Whatever I try, your sounds do not do the trick for me.

I will wait for EDGE and hope for a change. Back to stock.

I guess it is :D

But I can't fool my hearing when its not the Mustang I'm hearing.

It just might be that my relatively high end gear (Essence STX & HD 595 combo) is not so well suited for games.

EDIT: Hats of on capturing the idle and flybys diveplane, but the rest needs more work and balance.

Some kind of heat blur from exhaust, as seen here at 0:57:

My educated guess this shows on max / take off power, the effect is minimal when on idle.

Since the effect is already in the game and ever so nicely visible on the Huey, I'd like to see it on prop planes too. :)

After Cliffs of Dover experience, I'd say modelling of all historic ammo types (thus - customizable ammo belt loadouts) might be useful, although not crucial (the upcoming "EDGE-Messiah" is supposed to fix frame rate drops caused by goddam tracers... right??). What I would be even more happy to see are all historic bomb fuses (so we could perform skip-bombing at last) and 4.5 inch rocket launchers, presumably more accurate than our Fire-And-Forget 5 inch HVARs ("fire-and-forget-about-hitting-any-'effin-thing-with-this-junk" ;) ).

I vote for this as well will be a nice addition.

I'm probably not quite off the track when I put forward a request for 72-75 inch P-51 model (the later model). I have a strong feeling that P-51 pilots will see it as true historically, as it were.

Up there the world is divided into bastards and suckers. Make your choice.

For the sake of consistency with the D-9 module, it would be great to have oxygen valve off on default. (minor thing I know)

As for 75'' MFP: why not, as this was the variant that historically faced the Doras modeled in the sim.

As for customisable ammo belts - I would not go as far as Cliffs of Dover as people would abuse it and use only the bullets that are effective within the game. Having a few historical variants to chose from would be great though.

VHF beacons for AN/ARA 8 Uncle-Dog, both functional :) when we have control box in cockpit for it.

(static beacons will be satisfactory but beacons in planes will be great, especially DCS B-29 for it :) )

As DCS P-51D is late war (Ponies only from Iwo had same equipment), fuel 115/145 (used on Iwo) and MFP 82" inch could be great :).

^^this! cliffs of dover's options were overkill in my view, and caused more confusion and also bugs than it was usefull really.besides just what robo said, off course it was exploited and people put only the best rounds into their belts...

a few loadout options would be optimal.

Hoping that with EDGE we'll get similar reflections as on the F-86 videos.
