Azazel Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Solid post, solid feedback. I like the idea that DCS is always getting better or at least has the potential to do so. Best of all, there is a nice bundle of new (hopefully well crafted) flyable aircraft coming out. IMO as long as DCS doesn't go belly up as a company I think they will continue to impress. BitMaster Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I can absolutely follow the OP's point of view. There is nothing negative about it at all. It is actually more of a strategic criticism for the better, not tied to a specific bug or problem but the way DCS appears as a whole to the actual gamer who works/plays/flies with it more or less regularly. I think their is little disagreement about what would serve DCS. It is a question of how you let those ideas in our brains become a working code that does what we demand and not more and not less. If it was that easy.... damn, it isnt ! I bitch about many things at times but one always needs to be respectful of the problem itself to not drift aside in debates, thoughts and finally actions. So there we are, understanding the technical effort to achieve the change and our desire, feelings, lust....eehhh...aahhhh..at the other end. We do see that DCS evolves, we can see this CLEARLY IMHO ! Let EDGE take as much time as it needs, hopefully it will say 2014 on the release date. When it comes, expect hick-ups nobody could foresee...and this and a little of that... It is so complex, you have to trial & error the bugs with the community in public betas or test for years with 10 testers 12h a day. I really think, DCS is not only ED, DCS truely becomes ED & "The DCS-Community" With feedback, faith and some purchases we will get there.....where ever this will be. digitaljjd Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 @SiTHSpAwn I'd be more than happy to, right now though I'm trying to figure out why P-51 is crashing to BSD. No crash log, it just dies, end of story, nothing else has made that happen yet. ROF has no problem, nor does any other product (as of yet)... trying to decode the Windows minidump is enough to make me cry, DCS is the whole reason I ordered a Rift. I REALLY hope it's a problem on my end, anyway, If Wags decides to ding me in the next few days, I have no problem sharing it, it would be my pleasure.

digitaljjd Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 @Skatezilla Thanks, I would love to but I already CCleaned them away not thinking about it. I had three of these in a row, but I'm out of time for now. I had a tiny..very tiny OC that I disabled. I need to see if it'll happen again, or in another module. @SiThSpAwN Thanks for the heads up, I have resolved issues thanks to forum help in the past, but I'm pretty sure this is on my end. Wolf Rider Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) be very careful using registry cleaners... they can sometimes clean away a little bit too much. What condition (and size) is your PSU in Digitaljjd? No opening act when I saw them last year, but don't worry, the roadies are important too! :) you bet we are ;) Edited July 20, 2014 by Wolf Rider City Hall is easier to fight, than a boys' club - an observation :P "Resort is had to ridicule only when reason is against us." - Jefferson "Give a group of potheads a bunch of weed and nothing to smoke out of, and they'll quickly turn into engineers... its simply amazing."
