Airway Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 If he would only speak in normal speed. Vids would be 40% longer but one would understand what he says :)
tomcatter Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Great video, thank you for your work. What i have seen just confirms the quality and good work the team promised, thus they will have all my confidence when the release comes. This module is gonna bring a lot of fresh air to the sim, and push it forward. 1

Hans-Joachim Marseille Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 It's official now ... the MiG-21 is a bad turner. Thanks to Bluedrake42 for already mentioning that, but now we know from a more "reliable source" :disgust:

Bunyap Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 lol he locked himself in the cockpit Sigh... and it won't be the last time. Thanks a lot for the feedback everybody! There is more to come very soon.
froogle Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 The aircraft turns just fine. You have to bear in mind that it can easily get outside of its limits, but as long as you practice pay attention to speed, angle of attack and keep her in the envelope including user of rudder the MiG 21 is every bit as agile as her infamy would have you believe. Philipp2 Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 @ the autopilot guys MiG 21 BIS SAU is equipped with a SAU23ESN autopilot. It lowers and stabilizes the controls. Its possible to do an autoland with minimums 40m. There's also a rescue button , when the pilot is pushing it, the autopilot will recover the aircraft. If you will set an minimum altitude in radar altimeter it will also recover when you're below that altitude. For more questions I've to ask a friend.
uboats Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 There's also a rescue button , when the pilot is pushing it, the autopilot will recover the aircraft. could you put more details of this one? I think the AP button on stick is something like letting AC in level flight. Philipp2 Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 The one on the stick can be type of panic button. There's a mode for stabilize when it turned on and you press the stick button it will recover and stabilize the aircraft. And there's another button which means something like rescue from critical altitudes. In this case it works together with the radar altimeter and rescues out of low dangerous altitudes or when you set a minimum altitude in radar altimeter it will recover below that and bring you over that minimum altitude. Cobra847 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Part 2 is up... Thank you for the fantastic videos Bunyap. The workload is incredibly heavy here at the moment; but I can't help but take the time to enjoy these and get motivated from your infectious excitement. :) P.S. the reason your switches sometimes reset during the startup procedure is that they auto-repair of system components kicks in (about 4-5 minutes when the engine is off). We're looking at ways to make this an opt-in system or otherwise make it less intrusive when you're idling before starting the engine.
