Grizzly1606688174
Not that Im aware, but it would sure make those clusters more usefull.
Paradox
You can have guessed release points. It isn't extremely accurate...
WinterH
As far as I know no. But you can improve accuracy of bombing manually than you would think, you can estabilish ranges for specific bombs when you release them from specific speeds and altitudes, at least in clear weather with no wind. When you release multiple bombs, this can work fine against area targets, but obviously not for point targets. T0x1s
Ok thanks. I still can´t drop these cluster bombs with effectiveness. Only if i have real luck and manage to hit the head of some unlucky soul on the ground
WildBillKelsoe
I don't think the bis was THAT advanced.. CCIP yes, but CCRP, probably not. Would be cool though. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow. cichlidfan
When the bis was build the computer needed for CCRP bombing would likely not fit in the aircraft. Tango
You simplify the problem by fixing the release parameters for the drop (altitude, angle, and speed). The HUD already does this (scale on the right). Best regards, Tango.
WinterH
Speaking of cluster bombs, it is very hard being effective with them even in dedicated ground attack aircraft in DCS. Unless it is a CBU-97 or 105, which have guided submunitions of sorts. I really, really wish there was a way to choose burst time of cluster bombs in DCS... aren't RBK bombs able to be set for a specific burst time after release, even if on ground?
