ebabil Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 it seems impossible to fire flares without hardpoints, is it correct? Paganus Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 The way it's set up now, yes, you must have the hardpoints to have flares.
ebabil Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 thanks for reply. 2nd q: without hardpoints, how can we enable green-red navigation lights? SilentGun Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I know it's off topic but how do you remove hardpoints? Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales... :)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)
joey45 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 In the Mission Editor [ME] the tabs where you change livery and fuel.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. ED Team Raptor9 Posted October 30, 2014 ED Team Posted October 30, 2014 thanks for reply. 2nd q: without hardpoints, how can we enable green-red navigation lights? IIRC, when you remove the hardpoints, there's a pair of fuselage-mounted nav lights that will be used. Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. ebabil Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 i see no green nav lights without hardpoints FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5
ebabil Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 i fgured out this, If you use "additional armor", nav lights disappear. in real life is this like this? with extra armor means no nav light? FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5
ED Team Raptor9 Posted November 2, 2014 ED Team Posted November 2, 2014 Probably just because the armor plating on the forward fuselage covers the lights. Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. DCS Rotor-Head
ebabil Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 yes but i think it is not normal. like absence of flares without weapon station FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5
ED Team PilotMi8 Posted November 4, 2014 ED Team Posted November 4, 2014 yes but i think it is not normal. like absence of flares without weapon station When you select in ME variant w\o hardpoint, w\o armor, then it not same, that "w\o Flare Dispenser System (UV-26)". The Flare Dispenser System (UV-26 for DCS: Mi-8MTV2) relates to The Electronic warfare system (or self-defense EW system) in Russian Army (and AF), and not relates to the Weapon System. We are no yet plans to make a fully civilian helicopter (maybe later..), so this unit (UV-26) can not be removed from model by ME.UV-26_Elements.pdf
ebabil Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 i didin't mean that i want to remove flare dispenser. I want to use flare dispenser without hardpoint. Because it seems immpossible to use flares if you don't have hardpoints installed. secont problem is, nose navigation lights can not be seen with addtional armors, because they block the lights. ebabil Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 thanks for reply. could you also check this scenario? +Hardpoints: Removed +Additional armor: Installed +Navigation lights: On I can not see nav lights in this situation FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5
ebabil Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 UV-26. The flares now still present when additional armour and weapons are removed looks like first bug is solved. thanks for the update. i hope nav light problem would be solved soon. lukynoo92 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 In the real life are nav lights additionaly added on armor plates, because armor cover original lights, so they are moved to armor. There are no nav lights on hardpoints. MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS, i5 8600K, MSI GTX 1080 GamingX, 16 GB DDR4 3000MHz, 500 GB M2 SSD, 1 TB SSD
