Where do Mig21 Skins go

There is a new location you can place all your skins. Just create folders following the structure here:

C:/Users/name/Saved Games/DCS World/Liveries/MiG-21Bis

You can create a folder for each of the modules you have, but just make sure the name convention follows the one in the Bazar/Liveries folder, and either one will work.

I guess they shouldn't get deleted, but If You're worried about such scenario (or about anything bad happening to C: partition while DCS is installed in other one), you can always create folder for skins the "old way", in DCS World/Bazar/Liveries location. This option works as well.

The whole point of using the saved games folder is that it is unaffected by upgrades.

Although, I have always found that even with them in the main folder directory, they remain in place, although of course upgrades may affect them in either location as far as the MiG-21 is concerned because they are currently updating the external model I believe.

I personally keep missions separated from the main directory too.

Has anyone actually dove into the game's folder structure? You can place them here too:

x:\xxx\CoreMods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Liveries\MiG-21Bis

It can work, but some MP servers check the CoreMods folder (default check path), so put the skin in that folder may meet trouble in MP.

Another way is to put it under x:\xxx\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Liveries\MiG-21Bis, if MP server doesnot check this folder x:\xxx\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS

I was having similar problem. Skins disapire from editor even core one.

Problem was when I was packing some skin in to zip file I leave it in liveries folder. That zip file cause all problems with skins.

When I was remove that zip file everithing start to work normal again.

Yes, over-write the livery files in the zip file within the texture folder. The file names must match.
