Dear David,

What exactly does your modpack do? I played with and without it on the ACG server. I noticed no improvement in visibility, no one with special livery. Offline, the maxed-out external sound is too strong for my butt-kicker. Are there any objective tests to see that the modified LODs do work?

well, the adjusted LODs do work for sure.

i assume that if you havent seen a single special livery, and if you dont notice any difference in spotting, that you have installed it wrong. if its really installed correctly, then i assume, you have MSAA turned on.

also, the modpack does not make the external sounds louder at all...

Thanks for the reply and good guess on MSAA! Now I do see the new LODs.

I have my World audio set at 50%, and your mod includes sound.lua, maybe that's why. Is it really needed?

well, yeah, the moded sound.lua makes sure that the audio sliders become redundant, and also adjusts the outside sounds, so that the unrealistic flyby sounds are not as much audbile anymore....if you insist on those unrealistic stock-cheat-flyby sounds then you can just delete the file in the modpack.we do not integrity check this file anymore anyway. so its up to you! glad the MSAA trick helped you.cheers.

What should the MSAA setting be for better view?

David, could you explain what gain and lowpass parameters are? I am trying to optimize them for buttkicker. in p-51d it goes to sleep from low signal sometimes, while in 109 and 190 the subs level is just right...

^^sorry, back then i only paid attention to the file to reach my desired result(im not completely happy with it anyway).

but since then, i didnt take a look at the file anymore.so i dont know.but im sure diveplane would know the answer, as he is adjusting the same file for his soundmods.so you could ask him!sorry for not being able to help.

Yep, I installed diveplane's mods already. They are awesome, but his settings in sounds.lua were different ))

DavidRed Started up his new Jg27 Server where the Airquake mission is running!

IP 217.172.172.14

I got only 50 something ping on that server. The performance should be great.

Posted

yes, ping is good here too...the server is placed in germany.

9./JG27 are renting this server(or plan to).now we have one month free to try.after that we will decide whether to keep it or not.we will have to see its performance.if its any better, we will keep it.

once we made the decision, i will also open a new thread for the server...for now, you guys can come and visit us on our website(still in production) but the forums are already working!

i hope that many of you guys go and test our server, meaning that for the next month you visit the 9./JG27 server instead of the acg server to evaluate its performance.

Hey David;)

would it be still possible to make one slot for my Mustang?

My forum account is new as you can see, but I'm really freaquent guest on the server and not new at all in the DCS :D

In case you'd agree, here's a link:

It's a RAF 303 Polish Squadron skin, used in April 1945;)

I made it myself but the credit for bare metal template goes to Whiplash :)

See you in the air! ;) (hopefully not on my tail :P)

ok...since the last days, you may have noticed, that there is now a server called -=9./JG27 FightingLegends=-

our squadron started to rent its own 24/7 server, so i am not in charge on the ACG server anymore...

but, of course i can implement a slot for you on our server.

Of course I've noticed! ;) I meant the 9./27JG Server, just forgot to write...

I posted this here, as I thought it's the fastest way to contact you David;)

I think I should register on 9./27 forum

Anyway, I'm looking forward to check new ACG missions IronJockel :)
