Chief1942 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Andrey, Do you think that having installed Win 10 as my OS could be causing the problem? Also, I have the seat connected to a USB port plus power through the adapter included. I'm fairly sure it is connected properly as it does work in the massage mode and the JetSeat Control Panel works fine. Cowboy10uk Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Hi guys, quick question for those with the jetseat, How loud is it, and how much vibration goes through the floor. Currently have a Buttkicker, But now I have a small baby in the house, it's really way to loud when it's in operation, the vibrations and rattling, goes right through the house, peeing off both my wife, waking my daughter and even effecting the neighbours next door. Which sadly means I've had to disconnect it. Is the seat, any quieter? Would love to feel the bumps again as I did with my Buttkicker. Although it does sound like this is significantly better. Is that true? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 4, 2015 ED Team Posted August 4, 2015 Chief1942, I have windows 10 and the jetseat works fine. Cowboy10uk Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Cheers BigNewy, fired off a email to Andre, via his website for pricing a for a 908 to the UK. Hopefully he can still get them and I've not missed the boat. Just reading the reviews here, is getting me quite excited. As a Helo pilot in DCS, I would love to feel the vibrations from my Helicopter while I'm flying. By the sounds of things, it will go great with my new collective I've also ordered. :) Cowboy10uk And purchased. Looks like I'm joining u guys. Chief1942 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Getting there! Ron, please uninstall SimShaker for DCS World via Control Palel -> Programs and Features. After that install it again, having your antiviral software temporaly switched off. Followed your instructions and SimShaker is now installed. I am now getting a message that it "cannot locate DCS on this PC" followed by a message about a .lua file. I have it connected to a USB port, .Net installed, SimShaker installed. Now what? Frustration starting to set in. Chief1942 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Not steam. It seems you have a Steam version of DCS World. Right? Don't worry Ron, you are not alone here. =Andre= Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Have purchased ALL my modules from the ED store. never even visited the Steam site. OK. Not very important at the moment. Please open your Saved Games\DCS\ folder and create inside it Scripts folder. In the Scripts folder create a new Text file and rename it to Export.lua After that please start SimShaker again and tell me if the problem is solved. Chief1942 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Okay. Created the "Scripts" folder in the proper location. That folder now contains SimShaker.lua as well as a text document labeled Export.lua, which is blank. Started SimShaker and still get this message:"DCS World export feature tune up. Could not find DCS World at this PC". I have DCS on it's own SSD (H) and not on my C:/ drive where the OS resides. DCS starts and runs fine, just no response from my Jet Seat. If I select the JetSeat Massage under the Gametrix app. I get a pleasant massage, so the motors and the seat are working, just can't find out why SimShaker is not working in DCSW. Thanks for holding my hand through all this. I'm sure you have better ways to spend your time. Chief1942 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Andrey, Google is my friend. Found out how to change those extensions and it is now a .lua file. I will still use the one you've provided. I do believe it is working now. My friend, I OWE YOU BIG TIME!! I suppose the best way to show my appreciation is to donate on your website. Consider it done. While I have your attention, a couple of questions regarding the controls. If I push the "mode" button the light changes from green to blue. Does it make a difference? Chief1942 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Andrey, Trying to learn the ins and outs of your SimShaker. I appreciate one can create their own UWV files and use those as opposed to the default ones. My question is where are these stored and how does one select a user developed UWV profile. At one point I did see on my desktop an app that indicated it is simply a matter of checking a box on that image, but I cannot get that to come up again. I think it's called the Jet Seat Handler. Where one can adjust Vibration Level and select "use my own .umv files". I'm not feeling some of the effects in some of the aircraft that your layouts indicate I should be feeling, ie. the A-10C's cannon. So I thought perhaps changing it in the UWV Editor might help with that problem. Again, thanks for you help and patience. Sporg Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) Well if it's still useable as a chair massager, then I don't have to justify it to the wife. :-) It most certainly is still usable as a massage seat. SimShaker does not disable the software the seat comes with. I put my wife in the seat with "Surf" massage and she smiled at my crazy purchase. ;) For myself I sometimes put the seat in "Sound mode" and listen to some music with deep bass rhythms. That gives a nice massage and relaxation also. :) Edited August 5, 2015 by Sporg System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use

For the Jetseat Handler to come up, go to the SimShaker icon in the task bar area, right click and choose "Start SimShaker". Then two windows come up, the front one is the SimShaker settings and behind it is the Jetseat Handler. For the cannon, maybe try first to adjust the vibration settings in the Jetseat Handler window?
