SnowTiger Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Today is the first time I have flown the Huey in a while. 2 Things I have noticed since my last time (and the most recent 2 Updates/Patches). Even when I do NOT have "Pilots Visible .... in cockpit" Option (sorry I don't have the Exact Quote) the Pilot is still visible until I RShft+P. This is a bit of a pain since I have to do this at the beginning of each flight. It's not a big job but if the Option is not checked, then the pilot should not be there UNTIL I hit RShft+P. The other thing I noticed was pretty weird. I will check a few things before calling this a BUG, but before starting the Huey, the Cockpit Collective was going up and down as if I were manipulating it ... even though I wasn't even touching it. I double checked my Options and even Reloaded My Collective Settings. Then while flying I was getting some really weird oscillations in the Throttle that practically killed me a couple times (happening when not expected). It was "sort of like" I had just set the Auto-Pilot to maintain Altitude ... the way it sometimes does act a bit flunky for the first few seconds. However, in this case, I did NOT have Auto-Pilot on (I even turned On and Off again to be sure .. typically I don't even use it unless in Door Gunner Position .. which I haven't done in a while). I will look at a few Settings and things before calling this a BUG. Hopefully it is something to do with My Setup. Is anyone else experiencing the same (especially with the Throttle/Collective Oscillations) ? I did read that others have noticed the PILOT but I don't know what their OPTIONS were set to include the Pilot where available or not ? Chump Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 SnowTiger, a few things that I've noticed when it first came out and you haven't dealt with it on a daily basis is the following: * The pilots will be visible upon first flight. To "disable" the pilot body and return the cockpit to it's original state, disable the Options -> Misc -> Show Pilot Body in Cockpit, hit OK, repeat with enabling this option, then repeat by disabling the option for the final time. It literally took that before my config was straightened out and now I can use RSHIFT-P when I choose to. Do the same for any unwanted behaviors with Options -> Special -> UH-1H. * Some of the controls were remapped (I cannot recall which ones exactly). I had the same exact issue after updating. Go through Options -> Controls -> UH-1H Sim (assuming that we all ignore the silly "game" options) and double-check all controls, including Axis Commands. I also had an issue of figuring out that my Throttle Up/Down was conflicting with the Corrector (axis) in the Mi-8MTV2. </2¢>
ebabil Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 i noticed that, the collective is too sensitive. i try to maintain hover but huey either goes up or sinks by very very real small correction on collective. and also in the autopilot stage, chopper always makes small corrections on collective and cyclic. i didin't used to happen before. i was nearly died while trying to land on ship deck. and it is not related belsimtek but.. ship landing bug.. it is really annoying.. Is this what people are complaining about with the collective issue? Not a bug. Like at all. Seriously people. Stop complaining about this. My pilots flying a UH60M (in the real life) with all those crazy FCS computers have to deal with this as well. It's especially annoying when you have a block of concrete dangling from the hoist 100 feet below and you're trying to put it on a tire. Welcome to flying helicopters. The thing is . SnowTiger Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I wasn't talking about the collective being "too sensitive" myself. My collective was moving up and down, up and down .... all by itself ... "as if" it were in AutoPilot Maintain Elevation Mode (I don't use the AP unless in Gunner Position .. which I've only done once). Since my last post, the problem seems to have gone away. I had a few different updates and reinstalls for some reason since the latest patch/update. Somewhere along the line, my collective stopped doing the funky chicken. @Chump ... Thanks for that information re: Pilot Visibility. After closing DCS @W and reopening (and checking/unchecking the Option), the issue went away as you described. Thanks again. TurboHog Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I didn't see the eject animation for a 'client' Huey (even in single player) I do see it if the Huey is assigned to 'Player' in the ME. Maybe that helps some people... 'Frett'

First of all check your throttle is properly calibrated. This is happening when your throttle is not calibrated properly. 2nd thing which joystick are you using? If you are using x-55 then check axis there are two axis assigned for throttle as x-55 has separate throttle and stick. so there will be 2 x-axis and same for other axis which they fight each other. Correct me if i am wrong. If you have x-52 pro as i have, you must must always calibrate it before starting game. Every time you un-plug x-52 pro you must re-calibrate it. Other-wise your stick and throttle will be way too much sensitive. You will pull half of your stick/throttle and it will apply full in game this is one of the issue with the x-52 pro. It don't mean that the stick has centering issue rather it will be way too much sensitive. I hope it will help you Win10, Intel 3rd Gen.
