Few new things I've noticed with the Huey since 1.2.12

I experimented with some "custom" loadouts and thus modified the ...\Scripts\Database\helicopters\AB-212ASW.lua file. This older version of the file then lacked the new code responsible for the new animations.

 

 

Oh, thanks, I have a mod from upuaut with new helipads that quit working after update because of that file and I thought I made it work. I must recheck it.

It seems, that it is not possible anymore to pick up Sling Load?

When i hit the Radio Button, the previous "F6" Menu is not here?

 

Do i something wrong, or is it a bug?

 

 

Same here. Lost F6 Menu since with update.

Hope its being addressed.

Would be a shame to lose sling load.

If you are using the Cargo mod from Upuaut, please download again the mod. The old one causes this issue.

Ive noticed the transition is a lot, lot better.

 

I can now hold a smooth 500ft/per min decent while reducing speed on the approach.

 

The terrible drastic dip that has you grabbing to much collective is gone.

It has certainly changed somehow - I'm still struggling with smooth transitions, but at least I'm not dropping out of the sky quite so often.

But im not able to turn on the Cargo-Camera on the Mi8? I have mapped a Button on the Joystick, nothing :(

Same thing regarding communications with a unit to embark, F7 "Descent"-menu not available for me at least.

 

Same here, I have the sling option but not the embark radio option.

 

It was working on a mission I have been working on prior to the last two patches but now no matter what I do I cannot get that radio option to pop up.

 

Any advise?

Press F2... from First person you don't see it... you see just the camera running over the hills and far away :)

 

If you see in your file what is in 3rd screenshot from this pot then it is OK.

Do i have to reinstall everything or maybe just hey module?

Uhm .... I don't know how to put it ... the effect we are talking about is that the crew opens the doors and gets out of the helo, runs away a few meters and then go prone. That means, you will see this only if you "eject" when the helo is on the ground. You are aware of that? :o)

Can't beleive this...I just wasted my only left activation for BS2, because i had to reinstall everything..and still it doesn't work..and yes i am in f2 view, watching at my crew, and they just dissapear...no animation

Seriously... calm down until you break something else. I have a squad member and friend that do these kind of stuff in panic. I find him really funny :D . Every bug happens to him... with a vengeance but I can't stop observe that he is basically drawing them to him by a bit of too much recklessness . I hope you are not offended.

 

1. If you are about to uninstall reinstall... deactivate your modules so you don't lose any activations (see the attached pic... some of the modules have the tick unchecked... meaning they are deactivated0.

 

2. If you are so locked on this UH1H thing... deactivate and reinstall only this module... seriously...

 

3. make some double checks... I had the same problem like you and the fault was in that file I posted and you asked for it.

 

4. is just a animation... it does not worth the collateral damage.

I noticed last night the sling loading and cargo have been vastly improved. The cargo now has proper physics and the cable acts and looks way smoother when picking cargo up.
