kobalt_ Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 (edited) Hi, I'm looking for a way to display the Ka-50 ABRIS to my Android tablet device. Many people have already asked about it in the past, but i couldn't find a working solution. I tried apps that allow you to use your tablet as an extended monitor, but even though it's working fine with 2D/desktop usage, the latency is too big to use it in a 3D game like DCS (tried both USB and Wifi setup, same laggy results). It seems though exporting a MFCD from DCS to Android is possible, as in this app for instance : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitshift.dcsvirtualcockpit&hl I also tried the ROCCAT power-grid app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.roccat.powergrid Works fine, but not for MFCDs. By the way, there is also an existing profile for A-10C (http://power-grid.roccat.org/en/Store/Grids/Games/Simulation/351/) So far, I couldn't find anything related specifically to the Ka-50. I found this video but there is no explanation about it : ${1} link : So is there a working way to export the Ka-50 MFCDs to an Android Tablet ? (I'm primarily interested in exporting the ABRIS) Thanks. Regards. Edited December 13, 2014 by kobalt_ Link add
flanker0ne Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 As you can see in the comments of the video I've already tried to ask. No Answer  SCOPRI DI PIU': https://www.amvi.it/joinus.php DISCORD COMBINEDOPS The Battle Planning Tool
kobalt_ Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 Hum indeed flanker0ne :( So far, I found working solutions for A-10C, but nothing related to Ka-50... I'm not the first to ask though : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116419&highlight=abris+android&page=6 Anyway, gonna keep my investigations on...
Lostcat Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2227614&postcount=721 i use this app that works quite well... just a slight delay but no problem for the ABRIS.
StrongHarm Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Here's how I did it using remote desktop(teamviewer) and magnifier. This is with the Surface, but I imagine you could do it with any device. For some reason a moderator moved it into the obscurity of 'Reality/PC Hardware'. Not sure who I pissed off or why... the post is specific to DCS:BS and similar to any number of posts that were never moved from the main forum. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=133891 It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
Desuetude Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 In the video at about 0:58 you can see the program he is using is iDisplay.

kobalt_ Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 I made some tests with iDisplay. It works, but it is a FPS killer on my config. I lose between 30% to 60% FPS with this setup. It's still playable though, the tablet screen (ABRIS in my case) refresh rate is fair (something like 10 to 15 FPS, which is enough for ABRIS). Also, the iDisplay server app (on my PC) consumes from a few to a lot of CPU depending on the video encoding setting (it looks like it works like VNC protocol though). Moreover, you'd better have a good LAN connection : my tablet got N-norm Wifi, my router too, and I was monitoring 10 mbytes / sec upload on my PC (which is roughly the max i can get with this norm - but my PC is wired connected to my router) when using a high quality video encoding. So far, it could be an interesting solution, but it doesn't fit with my needs / PC specs. Gonna try to find other solutions. Thx all for your answers so far.

Fri13 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Hi DCSpanelsPro will be released with Su-25T Shkval support - TV screen with touch buttons - within one month (currently supports only A-10C MFCDs and CDU) The site says "Ka-50 Shkval and Abris comming soon" Would be interesting to hear when that is planned to come, as ABRIS and Shkval on 16:10 ratio 10" display would be interesting. Especially if it would be possible use two Android tablets, one for a Shkval (horizontal) and one for Abris (vertical) with the buttons and knobs. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
