Maybe you should point out what your intention is. Modding an existing plane, fly an AI aircraft or create a new one? For the last Point you should talk with ED officials since this may be a bit more work than you imagine to say it cautious :music_whistling:

I want to add a new aircraft or two ;) to the game. Not mod any existing airframes, or AI aircraft. I want to Add (create) my own and be able to fly it!

That's one way to Do it or just add an already modded plane. There are also some other model mod, you just have to find them

Or to make it short... How deep are you into physics, flight model creating, 3D modeling and programming?

 

There are experienced excellent 3rd Party developer teams which work a couple of years to bring us a new airframe...

 

If you just wan't some arcade fun it would be a lot easier to try another game... (no offense)

 

Otherwise, if you have serious ambitions you should really talk to the team since there may be legal problems in adding planes (especially if you would like to share them).

AFAIK you have to create modules or download them

You would have to create a 3d model, a Flight Model (the code for how it behaves), and the code to allow you to control it, among other things.
