Saberwolf Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Is there any way to add aircraft into DCS?

Flagrum Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) disregard ... Edited December 16, 2014 by Flagrum waiting for an answer to cichlidfan's Q before confusing the OP ;o)
FSKRipper Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Maybe you should point out what your intention is. Modding an existing plane, fly an AI aircraft or create a new one? For the last Point you should talk with ED officials since this may be a bit more work than you imagine to say it cautious :music_whistling: i9 9900K @ 5,0GHz | 1080GTX | 32GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB & 1TB Samsung SSDs | TIR5 w/ Track Clip | Virpil T-50 Stick with extension + Warthog Throttle | MFG Crosswind pedals | Gametrix 908 Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Saberwolf Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 I want to add a new aircraft or two ;) to the game. Not mod any existing airframes, or AI aircraft. I want to Add (create) my own and be able to fly it!
razo+r Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Well good luck with it. That's one way to Do it or just add an already modded plane. There are also some other model mod, you just have to find them
Saberwolf Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 What if I want to add a plane that isn't in the game?
Flagrum Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 What if I want to add a plane that isn't in the game? Then it gets complicated. But perhaps you might want to work through the threads here: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=202 , probably starting with the sticky ones.
FSKRipper Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Then it gets complicated. But perhaps you might want to work through the threads here: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=202 , probably starting with the sticky ones. Or to make it short... How deep are you into physics, flight model creating, 3D modeling and programming? There are experienced excellent 3rd Party developer teams which work a couple of years to bring us a new airframe... If you just wan't some arcade fun it would be a lot easier to try another game... (no offense) Otherwise, if you have serious ambitions you should really talk to the team since there may be legal problems in adding planes (especially if you would like to share them). i9 9900K @ 5,0GHz | 1080GTX | 32GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB & 1TB Samsung SSDs | TIR5 w/ Track Clip | Virpil T-50 Stick with extension + Warthog Throttle | MFG Crosswind pedals | Gametrix 908 Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Harpoon Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 What if I want to add a plane that isn't in the game? AFAIK you have to create modules or download them If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public. One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.
cichlidfan Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 You would have to create a 3d model, a Flight Model (the code for how it behaves), and the code to allow you to control it, among other things.
