Devrim Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Hi... Maybe it's me, but while flying ahead, I don't notice any differences in flight model when I open both doors. Should I expect any differences or do you say it's already not expected any difference in flight dynamics in real life? QuiGon Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 (edited) I always felt that opening the doors reduces the max speed a bit, but other than that I've not felt any differences. Edited October 11, 2018 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Mr_sukebe Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 On an amusing note, try opening a nearby window. I found it seriously amusing when I had a breeze come in when I was in the MI8 with the window open 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Sandman1330 Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 I don’t feel a difference flying doors open IRL. Of note, on the 412, it does reduce Vne from 140 to 120. Devrim Posted October 11, 2018 Author Posted October 11, 2018 Thank you guys. Thanks Sandman. So, we can say that it's not measurable or there is no significant difference to model it... Gunnars Driver Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 You really doesnt notice any difference* in flight behaviour. The VNE is only the speed limit allowed, not the maximum possible speed. *) Some helos lit the warning “DOORS” on the warning panel. You may notice that, nothing more.
