Not sure what to tell you JetBlaster. I am up to date on revs and have not had any problem since last update. I know you need to keep the launch key depressed for more than just a click, sometimes if I am at rmax using TWS it takes maybe a full second. On the takns I know they are a little figity in dropping. Too fast or wrong angle no go but not different from prior revs.

Maybe someone else can help.

One thought from another thread..... are you in Nav mode? I believe you need to be in BVR mode to lock in RWS or TWS.

To reduce landing weight and speed

You can't land a video game F-15 at 190kts w/out your CPU exploding?

On the real jet, to "jett" the wing missiles, the whole pylon comes off. I don't even remember if the pilot can jett the fuse missiles.

Just curious, why drop the tanks and missiles before landing?

Yes I can landing with full load but make lots ease if you have someone on you 6 not faraway and need to landing quick for repair.:D

Why not dump fuel? Those missiles and fuel tanks are ****ing expensive!

Good think RezorTM but I don't pay for fuel tank or missile :).

do you mean missiles on rails are not jettisonable ?

so pilot can jettison fuel tanks/bombs without dropping the vertical wing pylons ?

but must drop vertical pylons together with rails on it for jettinsoning the missiles ?

what's going to happen with the fuselage-ejector-swaybrace missiles on the f-15c ? i guess those are easily jettisonable, right ?

by the eay: is that the SUU-59/A wing pylons and SUU-73/A centerline pylons and does the same wing/center pylons used for mudhen and other eagle versions too ?

The rails cannot "jett". Those are bolted to the pylon. When a 9/120 is installed on a rail, it slides on so the only way for it to come off is forward fire or when the "Toads" take it off. If the pilot needs to jett the wing missiles, they have to eject the entire pylon. However, there shouldn't be too many reasons to do so because even in a belly landing, the missiles wouldn't touch the ground.

The only things that are "carted" for jett are the pylons, MAU-12 racks, and LAU-106's. So, after asking a bunch of weapons guys, the pilot can jett the 7's/120's from the 106's (fuselage).

Bombs/tanks can jett w/out punching the pylons. However, the pilot can select the pylon jett and everything comes off.

The strike has a slightly different group of pylons because of the different bomb racks...BRU-47's not MAU-12's like the albino.

the way the game has the "jett" function is..... incorrect?

i did it once on a practice mission just to see what would happen - and i assigned a key on the TM-WH throttle quadrant for it (isn't it called "combat jett 2"?)

i watched the a/c in exterior view with F2 - with successive presses of the combat2 jett button, weapons from all the hardpoints dropped off, in pairs, symmetrically

from what you're explaining, SE, it sounds like the game has it wrong - you shouldn't be able to jett stores the way the game has modeled it......

The game is wrong. A/A jett will punch off the 7's/120's from the fuselage. To jet the wing 9's/120's, the pilot has to press the EMER JETT to punch the pylons.

From a F-15 maintainers forum:

"Anything that uses impulse carts can be jettisoned or dispensed unarmed...with exception to striker initiated practice bombs such as a BDU-33."

"Launcher and rail type dispensers can not be jettisoned unles attached to an end item that uses impulse carts. So yes, to safely get rid of missles on a wing the pylon must go..."

"The eagle if I remember correctly has two Jettison modes. Selective Jettison and Emergency Jettison...if emergency is selected and used the aircraft will jettison all pylons and anything loaded on them unarmed and all racks will release stores unarmed as well to provide a clean jet for maneuverability or emergency..."

If they fix that, they will trash something else. The landing gear animation would stop or ailerons would become flaps or something :music_whistling:
