Buckeye Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 I actually called and talked to their support over the weekend about this. The new plate supports both saitek and crosswinds, but those of us with the older wheelstand pro only has the saitek pedal support. They are out of stock atm but should have them back in next week.... or you could drill the holes yourself. What I did for now is 3M velcro tape which is strong as balls, that holds them on just fine. Thanks for the info, mate...I actually might just order some Crosswind's instead and sell my Saitek Combat's, in that case I will just use some light velcro tape in the interim. I don't see why it wouldn' t work. You can adjust the center post up and down to the perfect height for your application. The bottom of the TM Warthog joystick can only adjust down to roughly 17". I guess you could cut just under 4" off of the bottom of the Wheel stand post to lower it further. I have a 5" extension (13 mm roughly) and my joystick is quite high, but I like that way Thanks fellas, worst case I can just grab a hacksaw and cut a few inches off the post as Rocky said  Rig: SimLab P1X Chassis | Tianhang Base PRO + Tianhang F-16 Grip w/ OTTO Buttons | Custom Throttletek F/A-18C Throttle w/ Hall Sensors + OTTO switches and buttons | Slaw Device RX Viper Pedals w/ Damper Tactile: G-Belt | 2x BK LFE + 1x BK Concert | 2x TST-429 | 1x BST-300EX | 2x BST-1 | 6x 40W Exciters | 2x NX3000D | 2x EPQ304 PC/VR: Somnium VR1 Visionary | 4090 | 12700K
Ro_Bert Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Heres my "high tech" solution to mounting gunfighter to the warthog mount, 8 nuts and bolts + some plexiglass. The plexiglass is thick enough to sink in the inner bolt heads so the gunfighter stays flush against the plexiglass. So far been good, ignore the dust tho.

Buckeye Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Finally, got the throttle upgrade :) Have the same setup, it's great isn't it? One suggestion I have is to kick the left side RSG out to the left a few more inches...give you a lot more "room in your seat" and is a more realistic positioning of the throttle. What length is your joystick extension? Mine is 15cm and I needed to cut a few inches off the WSP center post to get it to sit low enough to feel realistic. Ranma13 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Here's some pictures of my setup, showing how the keyboard arm can be used to hold a monitor. I can probably also center mount a joystick using a table mount, but for now I prefer having it off to my right. The monitor is not mounted, it's just resting on the rubber arms. If you want to mount it, keep in mind that the arms are about 175mm apart, so you will need to fashion some kind of 175mm to VESA adapter plate.
junneh Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Should I get this or the Virpil mounts? I need a portable solution for now, and while this seems better (more customise options, mouse closer by) I Think this is really heavy with the 3 arm? Can anyone give an indication on weight of the thing? I also use my pc for mouse and keyboard games and like to be able to quickly swap my stuff from flight to race to shooter etc. This might be a bit to cumbersome when fully installed? please advice.

It's built like a tank but it's easy to fold down and put it away...it's not so heavy that you can't just pick it up and move it where you want to, easily. Rocky49 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 shipping weight from Wheelstand says 38 pounds. junneh Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 MHm that doesnt seem to bad actually. Doubting even more now
Ranma13 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I would say it's transportable rather than portable. It might be 38 pounds shipped, but after you add your pedals and HOTAS, it's gonna be heavier. Also, the triple arms make it unwieldy to move when it's assembled; most likely you'll have to at least remove the two side arms when moving it around, then re-attach them once you get it in position. If you're looking for something that you take out and put back every day, you'll probably not be too happy.

Buckeye Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I am thinking that I may want to raise the footplate on my WSP 6-9 inches off the ground. Why? Because my computer chair sits higher than a jet set, thus the angle of my legs feels a little “off” to me, so I feel like this would help to fix it. This would put my body in a much more realistic position when sitting in my seat, with my legs extended out more horizontally than is currently possible. Has anyone else done this? If so, can you post pics and/or provide some insight on how you did it and your experiences? I'd estimate it weighs around ~25kg with MFG Crosswind, Hotas Warthog and with center mount attachment. I dont think its that heavy to move around. Its quite handy as you can just fold it and put it away when you dont use it. I use it with all 3 arms since i found it tends to move a bit with just 2 arms if you dont clean the floor and the bottom of the stand first.
HoneyBadger Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 (edited) Anyone know where to get the Warthog Flight Stick adaptor in the UK? I can't find it on any of WSP's European sites and getting it shipped from the US to the UK will be about 60$ based on the sites calculation. Edited November 10, 2017 by HoneyBadger

Shoot an email to order@wheelstandpro.com and ask to place the order. I ordered through the European site and had it shipped to the US...I know before they ran out of the adapters so there was a production delay, but at the least you could get added to the wait list  Rig: SimLab P1X Chassis | Tianhang Base PRO + Tianhang F-16 Grip w/ OTTO Buttons | Custom Throttletek F/A-18C Throttle w/ Hall Sensors + OTTO switches and buttons | Slaw Device RX Viper Pedals w/ Damper Tactile: G-Belt | 2x BK LFE + 1x BK Concert | 2x TST-429 | 1x BST-300EX | 2x BST-1 | 6x 40W Exciters | 2x NX3000D | 2x EPQ304 PC/VR: Somnium VR1 Visionary | 4090 | 12700K

Rocky49 Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Guys: Emailed Lucy at Wheelstand USA to see if any plans for them to provide a joystick Adapter for the VKB Gunfighter Joystick. May need to leverage someone like Debolestis and his Shapeways shop to make an adapter for us -- believe he can print in either thick plastics or metals (the later obviously being 5 times, or more, the price of the former). Not sure if very thick plastic would be strong enough to sustain the stress of the pulling or not...
