DaveRindner Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Let me guess. Somebody told you to take your pitot and stick it someplace.
NeilWillis Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Historically, are MiG-21s capable of being equipped for AAR? I personally feel that all aircraft that have done it for real ought to be able to in DCS World. It is an excellent if difficult skill to perfect, and a major part of modern air operations. It's one of the main attractions to the Typhoon, and I am certainly going to be at the front of the queue for that one!
Elnocho3 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Mig21’s were designed as quick response interceptors rather than long range CAP. So AAR wasn't really a priority PC spec: i9 9900KS @ 5.1ghz, 32GB RAM, 2 TB NVME M2, RTX 3090 Peripherals: TM Warthog, Saitek Pro Flight Pedals, Rift S, Custom UFC
Laro Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 No.... You can try it this way but it proberbly won't work out for you :D Oh, you got the new "direct injection" engine for better fuel economy?:music_whistling:
Mobius_cz Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Actually first fighter to test aerial refueling in the Russian airforce was SU-27UB. They used aerial refueling for bombers. First Mig 29 which is equiped with aerial refueling system is SMT model, then Mig-29K, SU-33, SU-35, Su-34.....As someone said Mig 21 is short range interceptor, they were used for very quick response to any threat. Djent33 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Even though the basket could get sucked into the engine. Mig-21 is a nice plane. Really nice.
SUBS17 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 This photo had me wondering: But it appears to be just wiring, those bombers back in old days some used to refuel wing to wing.:music_whistling: [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
BadHabit Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Draken international MIG 21's are equipped with refuel prob's along with basic avionic upgrades like GPS,radios and TCAS. Same goes for Bisons of IAF AF. Would be really cool to see a mod including air refueling :D Sent from my HUAWEI G510-0100 using Tapatalk "These are not the bugs you are looking for..":pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My YouTube channel SPECS -AMD FX8370 8 Core Processor 4.2 ghz -GIGABYTE 970A-UD3P -GTX 1050 TI Windforce 4g -16 GB RAM -Saitek X 52 -FaceNOIRtrack - 3 point clip Red Led

Sent from my HUAWEI G510-0100 using Tapatalk That's not a refueling probe. It's just a cover for the pitot tube. Why would Finns even install a refueling probe on the Mig, since we don't even have tanker aircraft? Edit: A better image of the contraption: Edited October 8, 2016 by Retu81 add
BadHabit Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 I just quoted the Picture's description. Which said that was a refueling probe. QuiGon Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 @rubbish You just seriously necromanced a 4 year old thread just to show a picture of a J-7 that has no refueling probe, just like all other J-7s?? 1 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
