you can do the licence in france for around 600euro , then 30euro per jump. It is called "Ecole traditionnelle" .

I will probably do it myself this year

I'll be jumping tandem also and it's pretty pricey but you only live once.

Which seems like a good reason to not jump lol.

Call me old fashioned, but I'd prefer not to jump out of a perfectly good plane :)

I bet it's great fun though :)

When I arrived at the airbase for my first jump the instructor said "congratulations, you already survived the most dangerous part of skydiving - driving to the airbase with your car"

I did a tandem jump, it was pretty cool.

What's weird is... well I am not great with heights, like I can't look over the railing of the 2nd story of our building... but skydiving didn't bother me at all.

I'm licensed with 54 jumps, you'll either love it or end up puking in the back of the hangar :megalol:

I loved it, felt a little weird,but I didn't puke.

It was a blast, I thought the same way.

I have over 1500 jumps halo, haho, and static line combined. Not bad for 10 years of service. Have two combat jumps under my belt also.

Congrats and thanks for your service!

Take Pics Cali!!! :)

It was a perfect day for it. The weather has been very cloudy this time in Guam. Last time I came here 2 years ago, after Christmas it was sunny every day...this time it hasn't been. And the view was amazing!

I done a couple extended line jumps but real life intervened..

Here in Blighty I think its 10-15 extended lines before you do a few freefalls with an instructor then solo..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
