Nirvi Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Anyone ever been? I'm going in a few days, jumping from 14,000 feet over a Island....can't wait to see! Did 3 jumps, one in Australia, one in New Zealand, and one back home in switzerland. It's just awesome, 60 seconds freefall, 100% adrenaline :D I wouldn't think a second about jumping one more time, if it just would be cheaper :( Serious uglies Discord 4YA - Project Overlord WW2 Server My DCS Videos
Neon67 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 you can do the licence in france for around 600euro , then 30euro per jump. It is called "Ecole traditionnelle" . I will probably do it myself this year
SimFreak Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I've done it, but tendom (ei attached to another dude). It was a nice experience and I'd like to do it by myself.
Joe Kurr Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Does indoor skydiving count? :) I've done a couple of 'jumps' in a vertical wind tunnel with an instructor. Quite a thrill! Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
Cali Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 I'll be jumping tandem also and it's pretty pricey but you only live once. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
Olliegb Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I'm licensed with 54 jumps, you'll either love it or end up puking in the back of the hangar :megalol:
FlyingHighAU Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 it's pretty pricey but you only live once. Which seems like a good reason to not jump lol. Call me old fashioned, but I'd prefer not to jump out of a perfectly good plane :) I bet it's great fun though :)
agentdarnell Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I have over 1500 jumps halo, haho, and static line combined. Not bad for 10 years of service. Have two combat jumps under my belt also. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Call me old fashioned, but I'd prefer not to jump out of a perfectly good plane :) I bet it's great fun though :) When I arrived at the airbase for my first jump the instructor said "congratulations, you already survived the most dangerous part of skydiving - driving to the airbase with your car" Serious uglies Discord 4YA - Project Overlord WW2 Server My DCS Videos
StandingCow Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I did a tandem jump, it was pretty cool. What's weird is... well I am not great with heights, like I can't look over the railing of the 2nd story of our building... but skydiving didn't bother me at all. 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo
NeilWillis Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I've never seen the challenge of sky diving. You jump out of a plane, then hit the ground. Have you ever heard of anyone missing?

Cali Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 It was a perfect day for it. The weather has been very cloudy this time in Guam. Last time I came here 2 years ago, after Christmas it was sunny every day...this time it hasn't been. And the view was amazing! i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
joey45 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I done a couple extended line jumps but real life intervened.. Here in Blighty I think its 10-15 extended lines before you do a few freefalls with an instructor then solo.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
