1.2.16 Very difficult to load the Su27 cockpit textures

Hi gents!

 

After last update i have very frustrate problem as i said in title.

 

When i join in my Su27 i have feeling i`m outside of my cockpit because texture are not loaded, after 5-10sec i`m in black space that looks like cockpit because no textures loaded yet... 30-40sec not loaded for sure. :mad:

 

Anyone have similar problem?

Whats your system spec?

 

Have you tried repair?

 

Try deleting the 27 folder then run repair.

Is this issue MP only ? I have similar system, different CPU.

Seems is only MP issue. Just tested single player mission and no problems with textures.

You might try to rename DCS folder and try again. I mean one in "X:/Users/X/Saved Games"

Can you also attach dcs.log ? Maybe there is something interesting there.

It's in "Saved Games/Logs".

It contains nothing unusual.

I'm not sure what DCS stores in Temp but you can give it a shot and wipe it. Won't do any harm I guess.

Have you done something that can cause that, like driver update ?

Sometimes DCS reinstall is a fix, hovewer I can see you have tons of modules installed.

I have only FC3 and BS installed :D

 

Mods i use only are Mustang`s Clouds & Sky complete v5.70 and Low and Slow Enh. Terain Texture.

This is what I always encounter. Nothing new for me.

But I must say this occurs in crowded servers (like VA).

I can accept around few sec for loading and understand that but 30-40 sec is to much.

What is different between single player and multiplayer texture loading procedure? Because, cockpit texture in single player are immediately loaded but in multiplayer be loaded last or waiting for something...

Then it's engine issue, nice. Maybe it can be avoided with lower graphics settings.

Reinstalled DCSW and FC3 - not helped

try defragmenting the hard disk, fragmented data files can cause an increase in seek times, and it looks like it just takes your computer a long time to find the needed files

Defragmented two times before fresh install. Interesting thing yesterday... before loaded textures i start rearming plane and missiles texture are loaded faster than rest plane textures. I mean, rearming are finished before loaded plane textures.

 

So, reinstalled GPU drivers, fresh DCS & FC3 installed, no mods, no hardvare conflicts inside configuration, CPU not stucked, RAM not stucked, HDD defragmented + wiped space... in single player no problems but only multyplayer - this problem is in some DCS lua scripts i think...

 

This did not happen to me before and I want to know what's going on... maybe a lot of things to be better when solve this problem. Once again - in single player all work perfect.

Out of curiosity, is this happening on any server you join? Or just certain ones? I doubt it's a driver issue, since everything is fine in SP. So something else is going on.

That happens on every server and even when I`m server. When I use MP slot there is problem.

Have you tried to turn off shadows? Namely put them on a "Low". I know that sometimes it was a problem.

Have you tried single player with multiple airframes available (i.e few Su-27, few A-10C)? I think the difference between SP (with single airframe) and MP is that assets in SP case are loaded during initial mission load but in MP it is after you select your airframe.

Do you have antivirus active? Or anything else that could slow down disk performance?

Shadows low or high no difference... except in FPS.

 

 

Maybe it is a sequence of loading, priorities ... everything is loaded and then the plane. It would make more sense if should be loaded plane first and then the rest of the graphics.

 

 

Maybe that's the difference between the sequence of loading the single payer and MP... just thinking.

Few days I do all sorts of variations and so this. AV on/off too. :joystick:

Problem solved. But i don`t know what cause it...

 

HDD was suspicous to me and I use HDD regenerator to scan and repair for bad sectors - HDDRegenerator find and repair 1 bad sector but after that my problem are not solved...

 

After few days (I was lazy all these days before) i go in action :) :

 

1. Uninstall DCS

2. Reinstall GPU driver

3. Virtual memory deleted - I Set "No Page File"

4. HDD defragment

5. Set PageFile

6. Install fresh copy DCS+FC3

...

 

No more problem. :pilotfly:

I use SSD, and I see this all the time.

 

As you said it's sequence thing. I sit in all black cockpit, just like yours. At that moment, if I check other planes, I see that PC does try to load their textures too. After other loading sequence, my cockpit can be loaded...

 

But, if I crash or get out of plane, and later go back in, I don't encounter this problem.
