I have purchased a Wheels Stand Pro for Hotas Warthog and have just assembled it. I experience several problems and would like to hear from other owners if they think I make some mistake or have some suggestion.

First the screws that is used for fastening the footplate made contact with the floor and made some ugly marks on the floor.

The stand does not feel stable. It can sway when I use the warthog on it. Also

sometimes it's not stable on the floor. The front part can rise slightly when pulling on the stand.

When not used the front part is in the way of my feet.

For now I seriously consider sending it back in spite of a shipping cost that might be up to 20% of the purchase price.

could you post a picture of your setup with problems circled? this may help us as it could be bit of technical.

I'm not affiliated with the company nor an owner, but I saw this video, it looked like you are missing the rubber feet circles that perhaps leeway the screws causing them to graze your floor.

After watching that video I see nothing in it that I miss. But I notice that they mount the pedal plate at the far end away from the stick plate pool. I have done the opposite since I need the rudder pedals so close to me.

#1. Turn the bolt around so that it sticks up instead of sticks down. If it is still in your way, use a hack saw or a dremel to trim off the excess bolt or simply go to the hardware store and buy a shorter bolt. This can be remedied for less than a dollar.

#2. The best stability is on a hard surface floor. Varying thickness of carpet will affect the stability. Nothing short of the foot print of a desk or table is going to be as stable as a desk or table. Notice your chair isn't as stable as your desk, does that mean you should return your chair? That is not an issue of the Wheel Stand Pro, I seriously doubt you will find anything more stable to replace it on any surface.

#3. Move it out of the way - the entire concept of the Wheel Stand Pro was to be portable. If leaving the components under your desk is bothersome when not in use then move it out of your way. This again is NOT an issue of the Wheel Stand Pro

I have placed it on a carpet so it can be more easily moved and I don't notice any change in stability. For me it seems it's the warthog stick itself that is most important due to it's weight and the lever arm. Now if I also place the throttle quadrant on the plate:huh:

I agree that I wont find anything better and the possibility to place a hotas stick lower is a must. Even with the wheel stand pro I found myself getting tired in the arm. Wonder if that's due to the sticks stiffness or the position I need to hold the arm ?

The stick itself has been returned and my intention is to get the whole package or maybe I will think a little about the CH Fighterstick.

As the diameter of the pole that forms the front of the stand is smaller than the diameter of the pole that forms the back of the stand, there is a slope on the two poles that run between them. Therefore, if you fasten the footplate too close to the front (ie nearest to you), the clearance to the floor will be less and will possibly cause the bolts to touch. The other way of getting the pedals closer to you is to lean the centre upright pole more forward, away from you, and set the angle of the plate so that it is horizontal. That will cause you to sit closer to the stand, so having the pedals at the back, where it should be, will not be as much of a problem.

Edit: as for the tiredness, it might be better to lower your plate, as i suspect that might be causing you to keep your arm in an uncomfortable position.
