williehayesjr Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I have just started back playing A-10C (can't wait for FA-18 to drop bombs); however, this time I am playing with TrackIR. For some reason, every time I go into the game I no longer have the mouse pointer, which I need to click cockpit nobs. What is it that I have not clicked on or off? Thanks in advance.
Griffon26 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 hey have you tried to switch it to on if its off already? should be ctrl + c / Lalt + c or something other sry cant look at the moment regards [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Never parachute into an area you've just bombed You never have too much fuel, unless you burn.
williehayesjr Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Hi Griffon26. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, Ctrl/c is for the canopy and LCtrl/c does turn the mouse cursor to a yellow cross, but the cross/cursor can not click any of the knobs--it stays the same yellow even after passing over a knob. Shouldn't the cross turn green when over a knob?
electro_monkey Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 The mouse should be in clickable mode from the mission start by default, mode switch is just like in any other module: LAlt+c or double mouse wheel ckick. If it doesn't work, try to repair DCS World (from start menu), this might help. Shouldn't the cross turn green when over a knob? Yes, it should. i5-9600K / RTX 2060 / 32 GB DDR4-3200 CL16 / Win10 x64 / Cobra M5 (BRD)+ Gametrix ECS / Opentrack
marluk Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Try to update Graphics card driver. Maybe mouse pointer is there but it is not rendered properly. Do you use some special mouse driver? I'm using Logitech mouse, no problems so far. Try different mouse with stock Windows drivers. Edit: Of course, try this only if the basic tips above haven't helped. Rongor Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Before maintaining to wild guess and reinstalling drivers or DCS World, simply look up the right key combo under options>controls>A-10C Sim>"Clickable mouse cockpit mode On/Off" Default setting for "Clickable mouse cockpit mode On/Off" is LAlt+C If your mouse cursor stays yellow and nothing is clickable inside the A-10, you probably climbed into an A-10A cockpit by accident.
EasyEB Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Also, sorry if this is obvious, make sure the game is not paused.
Rongor Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Also, sorry if this is obvious, make sure the game is not paused. shouldn't matter. mouse pointer should change even in paused state.
EasyEB Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Oh you are correct! Sorry. It's just when you press stuff nothing happens until unpause. Sorry.
Ernestwinslow Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I am earnestly waiting for the F-18 release. I love modern jets than the old types which are often what is being released by dcs.
williehayesjr Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Rongor, it seems as though I mistakenly jumped into an A-10A and that was the reason the cursor did not work properly. Thank you so much and thanks to the rest of the community who, without hesitation, came to my aid. I love this game and I have equal sentiment for the people of this community. Thanks again.
