Thank you very much Andre. :)

I made a small JSGME mod called "SimShaker disable". that replaces these two files with the original "clean" ones.

I attach it here.

To deactivate SimShaker, in order to play online on a protected server:

  1. Exit DCS
  2. Exit SimShaker
  3. Enable "SimShaker disable" mod in JSGME
  4. Start DCS again

To activate SimShaker again:

  1. Exit DCS
  2. Disable "SimShaker disable" mod in JSGME.
  3. Start SimShaker
  4. Start DCS again

I hope this is helpful, until we get a better fix.

At least it's faster than running "Repair" every time.

Hey thanks for this mod, It works good I used it to get into the 104th last night. As much I as I don't like flying with out my buttkicker it worked to keep me from getting bumped. I probably won't be back to a protected server unless its a squadron function. I really enjoy the simshaker software. Thanks!

Andre,

quick question: what is the difference in running the Gametrix in USB mode compared to the sound mode? Will it be better to run it in Sound mode? I can connect it to the SUB out of my motherboard.

Will the feedback be enhanced?

Thanks!

USB mode is for Gametrix seat, which plugs into USB port, while Sound mode is for ButtKicker (and similar) device which plug into sound card speaker output.

Hi Emanuele,

what is the difference in running the Gametrix in USB mode compared to the sound mode?

The main difference, I suppose, is that in USB mode we have the ability to control each of 6 vibe zones, while in sound mode JetSeat engages 3 zones for left channel and 3 zones for right channel LF sounds simultaneously.

In most cases USB mode will be event driven, while Sound mode will be a game sound driven (except SimShaker Sound module).

Will the feedback be enhanced?

That depends on USB support implementation.

In SimShaker case I don't think you will find the Sound mode better.

But in War Thunder or CloD you would have a chance.

Hi Adrian,

I'm fine, thank you.

Please send me your activation string to generate a new key.

You can download SimShaker here https://dreamsimteam.blogspot.ru/p/downloads.html

It has been updated.

Thanks Andre for all your help.

I currently am running Simvibe for my SimRacing games, and looked into SimShaker's solution. Currently I have 4 buttkickers and am only able to get 2 of them to run. Is there a possibility of added that 2nd output of the soundcard to give more than 1 set of buttkickers feedback?

Posted (edited)

I believe I can get by with only one output device, but could you please set it up so that I can use 2 outputs on that one device? or merge the signal to a surround sound solution. Currently with other buttkicker software I can get both L/R channels along with Rear Surround L/R channels for a total of 4 buttkickers. Thanks for any suggestions or help.

Why dont you just buy a $2,50 headphone splitter and attach it to the output of the soundcard used for simshaker?

I'm interested in getting this setup for myself. Currently have an Obutto Rev desk that I would be attaching the transducers to. What should I buy? It seems like the Buttkicker Gamer 2 is the easiest solution, but it will only ever support 1x transducer. I don't plan on sim racing, so won't ever need 4. But is there any need for more then 1 with DCS?

In my personal opinion, no.

I have stereo (left and right transducers) attached to a stereo mini-amp and the difference to one transducer is not that much.

You can feel left or right wing launch of rockets, bombs etc. but a single transducer is quite sufficient as well.

You can save a lot of money with the mini-amp, basspump/normal transducer setup vs. "special gaming" Buttkicker, in my opponion.

My setup consists of a 12V Mini-Amp designed for use in Cars, Motorbikes etc. with a matching Power supply and two Basspump III.

You just need to check for matching impedance (4 ohm or 8 ohm) on both amp and basspump.

Usually 4 ohm is common.

Thanks for the info. Is it any more valuable for the WW2 planes then modern? I was thinking the left/right feel might help in the prop planes as you push them (assuming you can feel the vibration from tight turns, etc).

The left/right/up/down/back/front effects are easier to feel with the jetseat thus I use booth :-)

As I started with this, a bought a simple transducer (~$15) and a used music amp (~$15). Then, tinkered a clamp with some metal construction angles (is this the right term?). Mounted the transducer to my chair and saw the sun rising ;)

After some time I wanted more punch and added an addition 500g weight to the transducer. Now it really kicks me out the chair!

The Basspump III has a hole in the metal coil. There you can put a threaded rod through. On one side I attached there a 500g weight used in sports (dumbbell?).

This also acts as a natural low pass filter ;-)

Cool!

What about sharing some pics?

I might be beating a dead horse here, but are you any closer to figuring out a way to use simshaker that clears the integrity check Andre? The software is so good, that I REALLY don't want to play without it. Perhaps ED can be convinced to remove that file from the integrity check?

Thanks for all your hard and awesome work Andre!

We released a version where one can toggle on a IC safe mode by sacrificing some effects.

Unless ED

a) adds the possibility the read the necessary data from the official export.lua interface

or

b) enhances IC thus server admins can choose which files are 'modifiable'

we can just wait and make ED aware of our needs...

Oh... Sorry. Must have missed that. Where can I enable/download the IC safe mode, and which effects are still retained? Thanks in advance!

My installation of Simshaker no longer works after this most recent update. I get a warning that it cannot connect to the Jetseat. I have never run that and use transducers. What can I do to fix this?
