Andre quick update with the new 2.0 update they moved the m200c into a core mods folder instead of mods. So now don't feel afterburner and other effects for m2000c. Still works great in Dcs 1.5 though.

This is irrelevant for SimShaker. Please check the SimShaker LogToScreen-Messages under the Service tab for warnings/errors. I assume, that SimShaker was not installed correctly in your DCS 2.0.

How would it not be installed correctly? It works perfect in 1.5 but since update that came out couple of days ago for 2.0 mirage no longer functions 100 percent like it did before newest update....

Since the last simshaker update most of the effects seem all wrong. Helicopters no longer "thump thump thump", just a constant vibration like an afterburner effect, landing gears don't feel right either. Not to mention there's a constant tone coming from my transducer any time simshaker is on.

Which SimShaker version?`

Which air frame?

I assume you use SoundModule?

Solved in a PN conversation ;)

Thanks for the help brother just so others know it was a goof on my part as i had moved my Dcs alpha install into a folder that did not match what was in regedit. All good now and man loving it!

Hi Chris,

hm... works fine at my end...

Please swith off "Keep Awake Buttkicker Amp" at Sound Module.

What type of transducer do you use?

That setting is what caused the tone, thanks

I'm using this amp and transducer.

Honestly the effects when I started using SimShaker in August felt the best for me. The landing gear effects I remember were particularly amazing. I no longer feel the distinct "CLUNK" when each of the gears lock in place, just the vibration of the gear moving.

The helicopter constant vibration instead of "thump thump thump" was the most obvious change in the last update.

Yes, this part has been changed. I consider that effect as a constant vibe.

But it can be customized, as described in Sound Module User Guide | Advanced Setup. Just add about 50 ms silence to the end of h_2_0_1.wav sample.

To strenghten landing gear "CLUNK" - add gain to p2_7_8_L.wav, p2_7_8_R.wav, p2_7_8_N.wav (or p1_7_0_1.wav for FC3) samples.

I am trying to use the seat for the first time with DCS OpenAlpha. I can barely feel any of the effects. How do I adjust the strength of the effect in the A10-C for instance. The effects are cool but barely perceptible. I am not using sound mode I am using the native effects.

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Sorry, I have not real the full 51 pages, but... I have read we need to downloads gametrix jetseat control panel for this software to work. So, does it mean that it works only for this kind of vibrating seat? I have a buttkicker. Will it work with? And do I still need to download this control panel?

Also, if it is supposed to work with a buttkicker, my buttkicker is connected to my computer through spdif. Will it work?

Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but so this module is supposed to send information to a dedicated game card, right? So, if I want to use this module to the best of its possibilities, I have to use for instance my onboard card for buttkicker, and my spdif for game sound, this way the module is going to send sound to the dedicated buttkicker sound card, even if I use the spdif for game sound?

And so, this modules allows for better vibration in DCS than if I use the buttkicker connected directly to the sound card? As I'll have only intended vibration, and not parasite ones I should get if I have the buttkicker reacting to all game sounds?

Thanks

Yes the vibrations are better because it's vibrating when you do things (eg. Rise gear, roll on ground, drop ordnance...) and not just on the deep sound you listen. So your teammates on ts won't shake your ass when they sneeze ;)
