Select Sound Mode on SimShaker Service tab.

Thank you - I still get nothing from it when I did that. I only get the big blue screen with the planes and not the other one where I can choose my soundcard and all that. I can't find it and that dialog box doesnt open up when i run DCS.

Why dont you just buy a $2,50 headphone splitter and attach it to the output of the soundcard used for simshaker?

Because then I would have to go to the back of my PC and change things around everytime I switch from Flight Sims to Race Sims. I'm hoping for a solution, not a work around.

I suggest that ticking 'Start Sound Module Automatically' checkbox will help you.

Aha! Molodets! Spaceeba :smartass:

Are you planning to update the program for the F5 which was released today?

@BMT - I have only two running off one Datyon SA100 plate amp. The shakers are the Daytons:

https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-bst-1-high-power-pro-tactile-bass-shaker-50-watts--295-244

I didn't think we could get 4 channels with Simshaker yet. If we can I will get 2 Dayton APA 150's:

https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-apa150-150w-power-amplifier--300-812

So far the shakers are just under the seat for the subtle effects...I dont want to shake the place down :joystick: Maybe one day...

Thanks for sharing, Derek. I'm about to get one of your boxes for the rig. Can't make a decision on which one.

All of them are good  :smartass:

Tried the product for the first time tonight. Thank you. Lots of fun, in VR. Was wondering if there was a setting to have the engine have a slight rumble at all times. Would really help with the immersion, and would be icing on the cake if the frequency changed with RPMs.

That, and support for 4 butt kickers would make me super happy!

Got a button box, Derek. Been eye balling them for a long time, and took the plunge.

That'd been implemented for piston planes from the very beginnig. I suggest you should switch it on by ticking correspondent checkboxes, since it's off by default.

Thanks for the feedback Brandon. I'm going to get down to that later. Currently I'm busy with some other very interesting stuff.

Oh... Sorry. Must have missed that. Where can I enable/download the IC safe mode, and which effects are still retained? Thanks in advance!

Hi JanTelefon,

you can easily enable/disable IC safe mode at SimShaker 'Service' tab page.

Regarding effects that are still retained....

That's a good question. But I'm not ready to make a list now. I'm sorry.

In general, our early effects, based on Export.lua data, are retained.

Due to Olaf (f4l0) efforts, SimShaker version with F-5E support is on its beta testing stage.

Hopefully it won't take more than 2 weeks.

Small issue with beta version and F-5E

Did some flying with it and seems to work just fine. Because of the auto flap/slat functions of the F-5 I think it might be a usefull option to be able to set the flap volume for the F-5 separately from the other planes, since it goes up and down a lot.

The real issue I found when after landing, stopping and even switching everything in the plane off, there was still some effects going on, like slow taxi bumbs. Very slow and soft but still very noticable.

It happened both times after I landed the plane, one time after a training mission and one time after a self made mission from the mission editor.

Also still noted that with unlimited ammo (training missions) there is no gun effect. I remember this was an issue from ED´s side and could not be addressed by simshaker software. Is this still the case?

cheers,

Geert
