Now i havent been able to expeirence some of these dynamic campains you talk about but let me tell you...

Battle of Britain 1 and 2 has an excellent dynamic campain. Falcon is alright, along with some of the others...

Pacific Fighters Dynamic Campain is horrable, i would just rather play a regular campain, considerding that the dynamic campain just adds a point system.

THE BEST DYNAMIC CAMPAIN EVER in my opinion has to be THE RED BARON. Yes folks, that really old WWI game. That had the best ever dynamic campain. It would make you feel like a part of the war. In every other dynamic campain or campain for that matter that i have seen it just doesnt seem "realistic" compared to THE RED BARON. I think i would probably die of shock if i ever run across a dynamic campain that good again...

Or why we don’t need a dynamic campaign?

Because we do need a private life! :D

Sarcasm. my dear friend. ;)

I am well aware of those sims. :)

Not sarcasm, just pointing out that BS isn't the only sim coming out in the near future.:pilotfly:

Viewing all the campaigns I've done the best have to be F4AF and Topgun Fire at will. F4AF for obvious reasons but it lacks character and interaction with the other pilots. There is no relationship between the player and the AI pilots so the loss of an AI wingman is no real issue. On the other hand Topgun featured actors and the loss of a wingman resulted in instant RESCAP which is very cool. I think any future sim should be built from the ground up starting with the player/flight/squadron interaction and then move out from there to build up a strategic map. F4s campaign is influenced by the players success at missions.

:idea:Sorry to be a bit OT here, suggestion: having real birds model in Lomac sky's would be a cool feature, they are known to wreck havoc, they are a real concern in all major airports. Damage model due that you hit a bird at mach 1 or while landing, etc. I can imagine your cockpit then lol

Another thing about AF that makes it better for campaign missions is the knee board.

This way everyone knows what the plan is which waypoint is the target what altitude to fly and time on target.

Thing I like most about DC for someone like myself that is not too serious:

You fly a mission and complete the mission goal (primary target) so you have extra ordnance on board, you strike a bridge or a building or a group of sams etc etc..Next mission you fly as you past that area :harhar: at the destroyed remains of the secondary. The better you get at hitting your primary target with a precision strike and having extra ordnance to use on secondaries makes a big impact in the war.

Second best thing I like is:

I just start the sim and forget about the hours of constructing complex missions in the mission editor, log in to campaign and fly the next assigned flight. I could care less what the mission is, I did not have to make it and I just want to fly.CAP,SEAD,RECON who cares. Also, I do not know what to expect. If I make the mission, it is like reading the same book twice. boring.:(

Thanks,

Monnie
