Mirknir Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Having a Forward Edge of Battle Area (FEBA) line would be helpful - yesterday I was sneaking up on some enemy planes and then boom, hit by ground AI. Granted, I am still new to the jet/missile arena so I don't have the best situational awareness, but I kinda forgot that might happen... I, sadly, can't draw on the F10 map so that's why I put spotters of your coalition around red enemy objectives. These spotters can be seen on your F10 map and will also use smokes to help you in the 3D environment. Checking the F10 map and the briefing maps will give you a better situational awareness. Like I posted a bit on top, I also added recons to 'draw' a line where your enemy protected zone is about to start. Around this line, SAMs presence will start to intensify. Maybe that's what is closer to the FEBA. If you are new to the missile jet arena, consider watching the video 'The Art to Kill'. It's old but still relevant. I'm asking because I've always played with it off, but when I join your server in a Mirage, it acts as if i have easy comms enabled. Double checked my setting and its off there. Single-player works as it should.

I'm trying to run it privately by my own (v 5.6.5) instead joining to your public server because of 2 reasons: your server is allways full (congrats again), and I like to test different approaches for each target, without being interrupted by any other pilot. However, when I tried with that version, the initial message and F10 comms menu won't appear. In previous versions (actually, v1.7.1) I didn't have that problem. So I wonder if something else is needed beyond the mission file, and in that case, where can we get it, if possible. Thanks

Thanks I know the server is often full and I am working on adding more slots: - I am working on overall performances - I've opened the server to donation (link in my signature) to be able to host it on a better computer. I tried to sneak in to the opposition's area the other evening....I was not successful, an AIM120 flew up my fundament and ended my foray. So I looked for a safer target since I was flying an L-39ZA. What is the actual objective at Sagarejo Spy Hideout, inside the red protected zone". The smoke markers? Or am I missing some parameter that identifies the actual structure? Gam Zeh Ya'avor - King Salomon Actually, I think choosing red or blue is more complex ; it seems like a personality test, like cat or dog person. Some people will always go red, some always blue. Of course, some people don't care or wants to be in the bigger/safer team. I've seen player join red, alone, in a ka50 while there were 4 F15 blue side. Also, reds seems to prefer fighters and being the trouble bringer while blue seems to prefer the systematic ground target destroying. It's really hard to predict. Yeah, we've been talked about it before and I can understand the point. The problem arises when the lonely striker can't accept the shooting. Some yelled at the chat like "hey, why don't you shoot something that can shoot back" and the shooter said "I'll stop shoot you when you stop bombing the blue side". This can be prevented if there's enough fighter for both side. Of course there's nothing you can do about it. When I join any server, I try to balance the both side. Sorry Mirknir, I think I have not explained properly. I do not open the mission in single player but in multiplayer, in a password-closed server, to enjoy with a couple of mates. As stated, in this later versions, the .msi file is not enough to run the mission properly. What else do I need? thanks in advance,

Also, I ran into a bug last night. Immediately after the server reset, I checked red objectives and some had not replenished. Blue side also ran into the same issue. The Tskhinvali Heli base for example showed 1/6 active units.

The Tskhinvali Heli base for example showed 1/6 active units. Thanks for reporting it. It's my big last random elusive bug to fix since I fixed the radio menu disappearing. Early into random reset, ground units are disappearing for no reason. Even it feels like a DCS problem, I am trying to track it, detect that it happened and trigger a countermeasure/correction by maybe respawning the entire defense groups. Also question, was the US Navy huey spawn removed from Senkai kolhki? Last time I think I remember the only spawn I could use that one was a FARP far from poti shores.
