ROUND 2 IS OVER!

CONGRATS BLUE!

 

 

 

Thank you all for participating in round 2.

It was an amazing experience as was the last round and even better with lives limitation which made any attack heart pumping!

The scales tipped from one side to the other at least 3 times until after a great effort from the blue side, managed to get Maykop last night and from there on an open road towards victory.

 

Personally I learned a lot out of this campaign.

The best thing I see going, is the fusion we have between most of the community of DCS.

People who I would never meet or fly with are now almost on a daily basis together with us on the Teamspeak which makes this effort worth everything!

IASGATG MVP

 

I am going to put IASGATG in the ring for the BLUFOR mvp. When blue was disorganized he cussed us and got us organized again. He constantly stayed up past his bedtime and made sure BLUFOR was going to succeed. And he is a decent pilot in the F-15 if I might add.

MVP Red team: 238.Ibae=Gruja. Best GCI ever, even when he didn't want to play GCI a few times he stuck it out and pointed Red team in the right direction, which airfields/bases to capture and so on. He always tried to get people to come on TS for the purpose of having more teamwork and organized the shit out of us, I listened to everything he said and it was always spot on. When I was about to get raped by F-15s he called out other people to help me out and shoot them down.

 

Really great work Gruja! If you had time to be on 24/7 I think we could have won this :D

Just to add my thanks to the organisers of blue flag - you have done more for DCS in the past month than anyone in a VERY long time. Thank you, from all of us at 31COG.

 

 

Again if it helps we'll play red next round. In he meantime well done all on blue :).

 

As for MVP blue I think it was "jimigreen" who spent hours hauling troops in helicopters while we all pissed about in aeroplanes. Couldn't have won without the helo pilots and I saw his name more than others (when i was on at least :))

 

Can we up the SAM threat a little in he next round? Some TORs around the airfields for example? Maybe some long range stuff around the map too?

I actually second the upping of SAM threats a tiny bit. Just Shilkas was a bit boring. At least a Strela with a TOR would make things a bit more challenging. Perhaps not in ALL places, but at certain locations. Would make planning a bit more interesting when prioritizing based on threats.

The tactic for the current map was just to use one fighter (if we had no SEAD and if there was no air threats) and deplete the SAM's ammo, then the ground pounders could go in and finish the base.

So yeah, I agree, SAM cover was a bit too weak.

The need for survival brought players of different countries and squadrons cooperating in the battlefield perfectly, despite the fact that they had first met 2 minutes ago.

Reds had their own heroes 373vFS_TaliG (Always IN), 238's Falcon (Coordinator), 36vFS (great Teamplaying), Arcus (great performance), Esac(Conqueror).....
