Crunchy Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 As I understand the mind set of the developers of DCS, the one thing they keep forgetting is that with the age of early access games. Players realize that there are bugs, and if they are aware of this they realize the game will crash, freeze, and all around have issues. And when it comes down to it when money is spent on a preorder and a game misses or postpones the release date the players are more pissed then it having bugs. But C'est la vie it is what it is, I cannot wait to play 1.5 in January when it releases. Major sarcasm! Well you should find out tomorrow what's happening. These aren't just bugs by the sounds of thing though. These are blocking bugs and I'm worried because they already spoke about blocking bugs in January of this year when it was estimated to be released. So it seems like nine months on we still have blocking bugs that may prevent it's release again, but for how long? We'll know tomorrow hopefully :helpsmilie:.

I get that, but its good when Wags flies in the videos. if they were that bad wags live streams would be riddled with crashes. Its a beta the whole purpose of betas is to test amongst the masses. the people testing report the bugs they have and then they fix said bugs. And if those "blocking Bugs" were so bad they wouldn't have set a date for late September. But I digress, its Monday in Russia right now so I hope they are coming up with a solid plan! Thanks, Lt. Crunchy Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 @raptorsim - I'm with you, I couldn't give two hoots if it crashes every fifteen mins or so, I'll just be happy to play it. I've played multiplayer of DCS when it used to crash every 15 -30 mins before it was fixed, so I can live with crashes. It wasn't until the community sent in all the bug reports that this issue with multiplayer finally got fixed.
Frusheen Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Same as the guys above. Got a rift and can't go back to monitors. Im hoping to god they have incorporated the latest oculus runtime. piXel496 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Pity the 27th sept. update-Wags-clip is actually the 4th of okt. I was interested in what the x day showstopper is for the 1.5 delay. Is this known or is it kept in the DCS nebula of mistery? :shocking: old stuff I made
S3NTRY11 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) Same as the guys above. Got a rift and can't go back to monitors. Im hoping to god they have incorporated the latest oculus runtime. I haven't played DCS in months because of judder in the rift. Same. Word 'round the campfire is that they are using 0.7 runtime, but there are a few issues with it, and that their focus is actually on CV1. Can't recall where I saw that, but I think it was buried deep in one of the threads. Surely? No, I believe they then estimated it to be March of this year if my memory serves me correctly. Barbra.

Current DCS Crashes for me only when I forget to manually turn on my cooking fans on my gpu to 90% because the auto fan feature on AMD Catalyst software doesn't work at all. As for 1.5 tduly don't think the crashes are that breaking to hold the release. I think it's the L-39 that has the breaking bugs. But I don't really know because I'm not a ED employee. Thanks, Lt. dotChuckles Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Please relax. That statement was premature. We are evaluating the remaining blocking bugs in 1.5 and we will make a decision on Monday. It will come down to which bugs we are and are not comfortable including in even an Open Beta. I know you are all very anxious about this and I'll update you all when I have news on this front. Thanks Everyone 'F5-ing' the hell out of the forums for the news lol. 6pm in Moscow now. I wonder how the discussions went. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
