[Updated] Characters being drawn as a box

Fresh install of windows and DCS works perfectly as expected.

 

Will keep installing software that's on my normal install to see if/when it breaks..

 

Please do! would be curios to know what program causes the conflict.

The offending program for me: Fast Picture Viewer WIC Codec Pack 1.30

The programs offending feature: WIC-Enabled Truevision Targa (*.tga, *.tpic) image decoder.

 

Because I do photo editing using Canon RAW files on this pc, I used this program to display .cr2 files in windows photo viewer.

 

I tried the latest version of their software, I was on 1.30 so I tried 1.9, which gave me a mini DCS window in the middle of my desktop :D

Similar Codec Packs (Ie For Video Codecs that have GIF, SWF, TGA etc codecs)

 

That change the way the O/S handles decoding of images (Specifically TGA), or Modifies Targa parameters for the Windows Imaging Component

 

 

Will have the same effect.

 

This Includes WEBCAM Codec Packs, as they use WIC Codecs for MJPEG and TGA overlay.
