Tomcat Driver Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I have just stumbled across an old up date from 2013 and it mentions that the SU-27 will get the same level of detail as the A-10C is it still happening? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1749105#post1749105
DarkFire Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Personally I would deeply, deeply love to see DCS: Su-27. It's where the game first began back in the day... Teknetinium Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) Seams it have been forgotten that Su-27 fans made this sim possible. Edited October 15, 2015 by Teknetinium 51st PVO Discord SATAC YouTube
John C Flett Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 After the Ka-50 didn't the Russian government step in and stop them from doing any more Russian front line aircraft to that level of detail? Might just be forum gossip but I understood that that was part of the reason why we are getting more NATO or older soviet aircraft.
zxarkov Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Honestly rather more than any other project, I would much rather see a higher fidelity model of the Su-27. Id pay 4x the normal asking price for a single aircraft to get that.. __________________________________________________________ i7 3930k @ 4.7GHz | GTX 980 Ti | 16GB G.Skill 2133 Quad Channel | Samsung 850 EVO SSD | Win7 ProX64 | CH Fighterstick | CH Pro Pedals | CH Throttle | BenQ XL2730Z 1440p
*Rage* Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'd probably pay a weeks wages for a DCS Su27, a fortnights for an SM and a months wages for a Su35 :) ED - are you paying attention?:) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 64th "Scorpions" Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 195.201.110.22
Yurgon Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I have just stumbled across an old up date from 2013 and it mentions that the SU-27 will get the same level of detail as the A-10C is it still happening? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1749105#post1749105 Let's look closely at what Wags wrote: At a later point, we will further develop [F-15C Eagle and Su-27 Flanker] to include mouse clickable cockpit and the same level of detail as the DCS: A-10C Warthog, but that is a massive effort that will take time. In the meantime, the F/A-18C Hornet is still planned but we want it to be at the same level as our A-10C. Because of this, development will take much longer compared to the Eagle and Flanker projects to be released this year. Since there's not even an Alpha announcement regarding the F/A-18C, the "will take time" part regarding DCS F-15C and DCS Su-27 shouldn't be underestimated. I guess you could call that some kind of road-map and Wags specifically said that road-maps change over time. So whether or not this is still on ED's internal schedule is anyone's guess.

I'm more than willing to drop good money on that!
DarkFire Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I think I'd sell some of my organs on the black market in order to donate money if ED gave us a DCS: Su-35S which wouldn't be unrealistic as the VKS has at least some of them and reportedly has more on order from Sukhoi. The only issue there would be that "the man from the VKS" would say "oh no you don't." But then someone from Kamov must have OK'd the Ka-50 and I would imagine that someone from Boeing (is it Boeing?) must have OK'd the A-10C, so who knows what's possible. Surely the Russian ministry of defence wouldn't have a huge problem with accurately modelling what is by now nearly a 30 year old aircraft (the basic Su-27S)? DrDetroit Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 More like 45-year old aircraft. I think development started in 1970. Would be nice to have at least one fast mover with a fully integrated and clickable cockpit - and realistic comms especially. Don't know why they haven't done a hi-fidelity avionics version of any fast mover...it's all the old slow shit...which I love too, but nothing like cutting the crest of a mountain top at 1000kph in a F-15 or SU-27. Would be really nice to do so in a somewhat integrated and clickable pit. Just my $0.02 worth! Good day, DrDetroit
Exorcet Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Don't know why they haven't done a hi-fidelity avionics version of any fast mover They are, the F-18. It just takes longer than the other stuff. I fully support DCS Su-27/30/33/35/whatever.
