DaveRindner Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Probably asked, how is DCS 1.5 with Windows 10??
giei Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Perfect I'm flying since 1988 (Flight Simulator 3.0) :pilotfly:
Ratcatcher Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Yep, in fact I could only get 1.5 running in win10. I previously had win 7 64 and it wouldn't load any missions just kept crashing. DaveRindner Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 OK thank you. I am running it under Windows 7 64. I think performance of 1.5 is slightly lower then that of 1.2.5.X, at least on my rig.
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Runs just great in my win 10 64 Pro! Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
golani79 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Running absolutley fine on my my rig i7 3770 16GB RAM GTX 780 3GB Win 10 x64 >> DCS liveries by golani79 <<
Simon81 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Anyone's solved problems that i've heard bout' the drivers for Saitek X-55? I've heard that win10 and Saitek's are not compatible and lots of troubles goin on.
Zimmerdylan Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Anyone's solved problems that i've heard bout' the drivers for Saitek X-55? I've heard that win10 and Saitek's are not compatible and lots of troubles goin on. I have contacted Saitek about this. Very frustrating that I cannot puul up the profile editor correctly. All that I can tell you is that they have a message posted on their software download page that they're working to get the Windows10 software up and running. This was as of 2 or 3 days ago.
giei Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I have an x55 and from October it works better than on widows 8.1 I'm flying since 1988 (Flight Simulator 3.0) :pilotfly:
Zimmerdylan Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I have an x55 and from October it works better than on widows 8.1 It's not that it doesn't work. The hardware works fine on all of the Saitek stuff. If you have it already set up or already have profiles that have been downloaded or created, everything is good. It's that the software has issues for many people wishing to program certain profile features and such.
giei Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 The software NOW works fine as on previous windows versions. NOW, a month ago I can't play at all. 1 I'm flying since 1988 (Flight Simulator 3.0) :pilotfly:
Zimmerdylan Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) The software NOW works fine as on previous windows versions. NOW, a month ago I can't play at all. OK....Sorry, didn't understand. You mean because of the SST software?????? Edited November 4, 2015 by Zimmerdylan
=Mac= Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I just upgraded from MS-DOS 3.0 to Windows 95. I have no problem with DCS at all. Surely, you're joking! Yes. And don't call me Shirley. :) edit: I have Windows 7 and have no problems. (Seriously.) The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

Phantom453 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 OK thank you. I am running it under Windows 7 64. I think performance of 1.5 is slightly lower then that of 1.2.5.X, at least on my rig. Most unfortunate. I think the majority of people have seen a significant improvement between 1.2 and 1.5. In my case I pretty much get double the frame rate that I did with 1.2, and now with all settings set to max (less those designed for screen shots/ video cuts etc.). I'm running W7 Pro 64.

pwambach Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I figured I would chime in with my 2 cents. I was using Windows 8.1 Pro with Oculus DK2 and DCS 1.5 all latest updates and was working really good. Then I updated to Windows 10 and noticed a big drop in performance. It basically made the Oculus unusable. Any time the head moved the motion blur would basically make you sick. I rolled back to Windows 8.1 and all is back to normal. My rig is an Alienware Area 51 Rev2 Intel i7-5820 3.3Ghz/16GB Ram/Mirrored 512 SSD's/Nvidia 980 GTX (single)
