gospadin Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) So parking slot 07 at McCarran is sloped downward. When the L-39C is placed there for a cold start, it'll start rolling downhill immediately. You have about 30 seconds to start the aircraft to get hydraulic pressure in the brakes before you roll into the dirt next to the terminal. I think either the cold start should begin with wheel chocks, or else... well, dunno what other fix would be appropriate. Maybe rotate the aircraft spawn direction by 90 degrees so it's perpendicular to the slope? Also tested F-15C, F-86F, A-10C, and MiG-21bis, and none of them roll when cold-starting in that parking spot.parking07atMcCarron.zip Edited December 1, 2015 by gospadin added log and .trk file My liveries, mods, and missions for DCS:World M-2000C English Cockpit | Extra Beacons Mod | Nav Kneeboard | Community A-4E
zaelu Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 If you ask immediately for wheel chokes does it stop? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
Jansgi Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Try putting the parking brake on as soon as you are in the pit. AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600X AMD Radeon™ RX 7800 XT G.Skill 64GB (4 x 16GB) Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600MHz
gospadin Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Neither of those works: Ground crew won't work on a moving aircraft, so you can't get wheel chocks. Parking brake doesn't seem to be modeled yet. My liveries, mods, and missions for DCS:World M-2000C English Cockpit | Extra Beacons Mod | Nav Kneeboard | Community A-4E
codefox Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 When I used the parking brake in 1.5 it worked just fine. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
gospadin Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 When I used the parking brake in 1.5 it worked just fine. Neither all the way back ("emergency") or all the way forward ("parking") has any effect in 2.0 on that parking spot. codefox Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Neither all the way back ("emergency") or all the way forward ("parking") has any effect in 2.0 on that parking spot. Yeah probably it's missing hydraulics when it's "fresh".. didn't think about that. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

zaelu Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Parking brake doesn't seem to be modeled yet. I has to work because I tried to be smart arse and put the emergency brake on axis and I couldn't move the aircraft unless I was almost in full power. The parking brake works if you press forward on the lever (it is already forward), it has some sort of a stopper there. If you pull it seems it is the emergency brake and its power increases as you pull. I am not sure it is how it is suppose to be or it is WIP. When on axis the minimum setting is park brake then as you pull it goes fast in full release then again increases the power in emergency brake.
