M-2000C air battles in TacView

This is the latest battle of our friend Prowler:

This time against Su-27s, but he cheated since the Flankers do not carry their BVR missiles. ;)

Good video!

Prowler, you should try it with Flankers carrying something like this:

Typhoon-Su-27.jpg

A little bit more realistic loadout with R-27R and R-27T. (they don't seem to be ER and ET) :)

Они сказали, что они загружены Cy-27 только с P-73, потому что это тяжело решать ее с полным снаряжения. Сy-27 является более опасным, и каждый знает, что.

And by the way, this is the English part of the forums :)

I think it's clear now that the M2000 is a very dangerous opponent in dogfight... if you haven't downed the M2000 before WVR: prays.

It's an impressive plane to be sure, but based on the latest video my money is still soundly on the SU-27 in a fair merge. It out climbed the M2000, turned with it, and that HMD is a pretty massive advantage in a turning fight.

Against, AI...

Human in F-86 can down an AI F-15 in guns only fight.

Also, how many flares was he carrying? I counted more than 16 for sure. Is it a valid tactic to spend all the flares at the merge

I counted over 20 flares. Some kind of CM pod maybe?

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

How do you make the difference between chaff and flares on Tacview? If I recall well they look both like flares

Ahh I see. My bad.

He was launching chaff. The Éclair pod is not ready for open beta but it will be available on final release. It carries 16 more flares and 18 more chaff.

Oh thank god.

Thanks for that information Zeus, I was hoping it'd be included.

Super 530D test with once in a blue moon perfect intercept.

I followed my target, flew a flight path that denied any attempt at "beaming" my radar, and the missile flew perfectly for an intercept, including the final corkscrew.

Launch range was 10 nmiles.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess that, since you guys are so active with these videos, pictures, etc. (more than usual), that the M2000C is out of your hands for the time being and we're waiting for ED to release.

Nice! 10nm is 16 km and 1.500m, this looks promising!

I know it is a Su 25 and it will be slower, but at that distance, I couldnt get any Aim-7M or R-27R to hit on my charts.

Anyway we need to test more about that 530D once we get it in our hands! but looks promising! thanks!

Not yet. Major stuff is done, right now we are finishing small stuff that is required for the release. That includes the manual.

Thanks for the Info, are we still on the Mid december as Deadline? That would mean this week?

Is there a big drag penalty for the Éclair pod?

I suspect this pod will quickly become standard equipment if there's no downside to it :D
