Amazing flying in the Huey. This video was on fast forward, right?:) How did you increase your speed so quickly on takeoff at such a low altitude? An then decrease your speed so quickly on landing?

On takeoff, I'm fighting against the "bubble effect*" with a lot of forward pressure on the stick

On landing it's all about finding the fine balance between decreasing the collective and pulling the stick aft. I also listen to the engine and the rotor, you can clearly hear when it's going from ETL to hover (the beauty of DCS :)). In this case I've also used to rudder to turn and bleed out a lot of speed.

I'm not sure if this makes a lot of sense. I quickly re-recorded the takeoff and landing with the controls indicator.

*Not sure if that's how it's called. But you must have noticed it. When going from hover to transitional lift, past a given speed, your helo will gain a lot of lift. If you don't counter it by either pushing the stick forward or decreasing the collective, you'll "jump".

Let me guess, you have pedals? I must be doing myself a disservice by using the ANT knob on my cougar as pedals to learn how to fly the Huey.:) That last vid actually helps a lot. Because I can see your adjustments with the sounds. Normally when I hear those rotor sounds when trying to land, im falling like a leaf or spinning. smh. Thanks 8-Ball.
