I am curious about this module, especially with the sale, but are the missions consistent with the combat environment the F-86 flew and fought in? Or do you have to fly against the more modern units already in game.

Thanks for any info,

Nope, MiG-15 is the only period-correct asset for F-86 in the game as it is now.

I put the MiG-15 in as well as WW2 fighters. Also I throw in the Russian bombers as well on 'intercept' missions as it's hard to tell if they are old or not so they kinda fit. But yes, for straight up 1 on 1 dogfighting it's only the MiG.

The P-51 was also used in Korea!

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Wished someone did an F4UF Corsair AI plane, 'cos it was used mostly as night fighter-bomber in Korean war. :D

DCS on OSX. Virtual pilot for 28 years. Love the warbirds and Cold-War era aircrafts.

The BMP 1 wasnt a period ground asset. It wasnt around until 1967 IIRC correctly. The T55 whilst close is sti 2 years too late for the Korean War and regardless DPRK or Chi Com armor was nonexistant after the summer/fall 1950. Wiped out primarily by US armor, napalm, and other methods. And those were all T34/85s and SU 76s

Yes the mustang was used in Korea. Id love to see a twin.mustamg maybe available as paid DLC like 10 or 20 bucks to add twin mustangs to your mustang module as a choice.
