Super 530 select key

What key shall I use to select Super 530 without having to reach for my mouse?

Good question. I don't think there is one.

 

I always start with Super 530 selected via mouse and use HOTAS to select Close Combat mode and Magic or cannon when bandits close in...

There are keybinds for all the PCA buttons (weapon pylons)

 

So that keybind will activate that PCA button wich will select wichever ordnance is present on that pylon.

 

And if i remember correctly the PCA 2 pylons would be where the 530s are mounted (so PCA 2 button will select it)

PCA 2 isn't a specific pylon.

 

Priority codes for each PCA button are in the manual, search for "Table 2 PCA weapons code display priority".

 

You're correct that if you have the Super 530D mounted then PCA 2 will show "530" (since PCA 1 will only show 550), however if you don't have them mounted, PCA 2 will display codes for bombs (BL1/BF1/BF4), rockets (RK3), or fuel (RP).

It actually needs to be the "Stores 2 Select" button; PCA 1-5 refers to the top row.

weapons are disabled in POLice mode, even if master arm is on, per the manual

Ah, my mistake, stores it is. In any case, those are your hardpoint keys. I assigned the first 4 to one of the hats on my X-55 and haven't clicked those buttons since. Just wish I could get the selective jettison + FBW controls on there too, real pain having to click those things.

Set the weapon stores to your joystick/HOTAS! The Magic II (stores 1... not mention as stores 1), stores 2 (for 530 or/and fuel tank) and the stores 3 (center fuel tank)! :thumbup:

-Stores 2 Lctrl+3

-Stores 3 Lctrl+4

-Stores 4 Lctrl+5

I use my TM Cougars to simulate the various panels/switches. I find them handy for all the different A/C and keeps the HOTAS similar to the real setup.

 

I got mine on Amazon for not too bad a deal.
