flybull Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Now that the DCS F/A-18 has a ballpark release date - what are the chances of hardware manufacturers - i.e. Thrustmaster, producing a HOTAS Hornet? I am imagining something similar to the way HOTAS WARTHOG was released to support DCS A-10C Have there been discussions? Can ED update us on this? Cheers, Flybull
Tirak Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 You mean like this? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104154
flybull Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 Hi Tirak, not really...I have been following that thread, and seen some nice renders. Nothing else. I think the concept is great, but I fear its vapour wear. I would be pleased to be wrong. i am wondering if TM are going to do a Hornet HOTAS.
TOYKILLA Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I think we have a good Hotas with the A-10c combo and thrustmaster don't release a F18 for this modul,but if I'm wrong, I would buy it :-) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Thrustmaster Warthog SLM - F/A-18 , MFG Crosswind V2 , Cougar MFD`s , HP Reverb , PointCtrl , i9@5,1Ghz/2080Ti, :joystick: DIY 2DOF Motionsimulator with 4Ch Simshaker :joystick: https://www.facebook.com/micsmotionsimulator
TomOnSteam Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 From what I've heard here I think the Replika stuff will be available before the Hornet is out :) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cockpit Spectator Mode
hansangb Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I was thinking the same thing 14th JAR. VR fully supported it. Carrier Ops, more maps. F18 maybe coming out. I just wish I could buy Cobra or Apache or Blackhawk or LittleBird. Not asking much, am I? :) hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

some1 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) The grip is less functional than f16/a10, it's just different shape. On the other hand, a throttle with proper TDC analog cursor and additional axis for radar antenna elevation, that's what is needed the most.
