Isn't 30 FPS to slow? Most gaming sites recommend 60 why only 30 in Vsync. It is a 4K thing?

4K monitors are still in early stages, most are atill 30Hz in the value and mainstream teirs, with 60Hz and above being 4 digits before the decimal point in price.

i'm having the opposite of this problem, low fps in the cockpit and steady 60 in the external...even on all low settings

Intel Core i7 8700k

Windows 10

1080p@60fps >> 2160p@30fps

just sayin'

I'm also having some massive fps drops both on cockpit and external (specially on external) even with DOF off, terrain med, flat shadows on, shadows low, and so on. Feels like something broke since the release of 1.5 beta.

30hz would imply using HDMI 1.4 (either an "early" 4K computer monitor or 4K TV).

DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 support 60hz at 4K resolution. DisplayPort 1.2 should be available on most 4K monitors, even early/cheaper models.

This is a problem only in DCS, I use the same set up for racing sims such as project cars and P3D and have no issues...in fact its fine in the cockpit, no issues at all, just the external views...so must be something related to DCS>>>>
