I have some questions about the M2000C plane, that was added some weeks ago.

Is ED gonna add a TGP so you can actually use GBU12, etc. in CCRP without being dependant on a A10C to lase a target?

How much internal fuel does it have?

Does it have active radar missiles (like AIM120)?

Is the cockpit fully clickable?

I also heard that there is a ''buddy refuel pod'' for it, if it is being added to the game, could the m2000 technically air refuel A10s, F15s and Su27s?

thanks in advance,

EliteKatze

PS: there are actually pods that can track and lase targets, as well as use GPS navigation!

1 No, it will be reliant on JTAC or Buddy lasing

2 Unsure but google will have the answers

3 No it has SARH Super 530D missiles, think Aim7

4 Yes, fully clickable, not 100% at the moment but its in Beta.

5 Wrong delivery method, its probe and drogue like UK and USN and Marine corps, not boom like USAF.

And lo, Reverend Vegas did say "Take forth unto the infidel the mighty GAU 8 and expend its holy 30MM so that freedom will be brung upon them who knoweth not the joys of BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTT"

It is not from ED, it is from RAZBAM and M-2000C is the fighter version - so no TGP.

First of all, the Mirage 2000C is an interceptor, it wasn't made for multirole purpose, the C means chasseur, in french, which means fighter. It has the CCRP and CCIP, but it can't lase the target because the M2000C doesn't carry any Targeting Pod, so you'll need an A-10C or JTAC unit to lase the bomb.

The Internal fuel, you can see on Mission Editor.

The C version doesn't carry any active missile, only SARH.

At the moment the Mirage isn't, the module isn't finished yet.

To transfer fuel to an A-10, F-15, you would need the Boom, so, nope, it can't do it.

you could technically refuel the su-27 though, and also the upcoming F/A-18 and F14. No idea if the actual fuel is interchangable though. I thought the USN stuff runs on JP5 and the USAF stuff runs on JP4 and JP8. no idea what the armee d'lair runs its stuff on.

Check my F-15C guide

Nope. The russian and western systems may look the same, but they are not compatible. We shouldn't be able to refuel at the Il-78 either.

it depends...India uses IL-78 to refuel Mirage 2000H.

Don't know what part of the system (probe or drogue) is modified, if any mod wad needed.

Yeah, there's even a nice picture on wikipedia, that's why I deleted my post. ;)

About Mirage 2000C Buddy refueling pod.

I think it was used to train pilot, because 2 Mirage 2000C squadron based in Cambrai were 1000km away from C-135FR tanker based in South of France and in limited quantity.

No operational interest when you have real tankers.

thanks for all the answers guys!

I am kinda sad that razbam was too lazy to make the fully CCRP capable m2000, because the plane is sexy as heck. I am probably gonna wait for ED to add either the F14/F18 (hopefully the better version if so, cuz it's got mroe thrust)/F15E. I realy would like to see a guided munition capable plane, that can fly noticeably faster than the A10C

While the Mirage 2000C does not have TGP abillity the Export model (E and other export designations does)

Multiple nations like Egypt,Peru and India all operate the Mirage 2000 with a Atlis II day only targeting pod.

ai03-mirage2000h-105-2.jpg

Biggest difference between the 2000C we have and the Different Export variants where The radar. (they had the RDM of the early 2000C instead of the RDI radar of the later 2000Cs)

pretty much the only other changes would be Wiring and modifying the radar display to be capable of showing the info/footage transmitted from the TGP.

The 2000C could easily have been able to use a TGP with just a smaller upgrade but as it was never needed for the Air-ground role since that was the role of the Jaguar and 2000D the 2000C thus the french 2000Cs where never capable of carrying TGPs.

Im still dreaming of a 2000E addon to the Mirage 2000 module =(.

Sure the radar would be slightly worse (especially when it comes to look down /shoot down) and the radar guided missile will be slightly weaker (Super 530F instead of 530D) but i would be more then willing to trade that in order to carry a Targeting pod and the abillity to carry sead missiles =>.

But to clarify the mirage 2000C Rdi (This module) does not have the abillity to carry a Targeting pod.

Why bother with an H model, lets go for the M2000D. However, neither is worth working on until ED gets around to producing a operational A/G radar.

Soon, hopefully :music_whistling:

Well id rather have a E since it would be easier to make since its so similar to a 2000C having a pretty much identical flightmodel and visual model.

But it would probably be a while before we saw either =(.

Id rather have a multirole 2000E then i would have a F-15E though =P.

Since one of those i would buy for sure but probably not the other.

Agree, much rather have a Mirage than an F-15. However, we'll have the F-18C before either of them so it maybe moot in the end.

M-2000E suffers from the same problem that F-15E, AV-8B+ Radar, F/A-18, F-16, etc.: lack of AG radar. ED is working on it and we will have it this year, but that would be too late for the M-2000E. By the time the AG radar comes out, we should be knee deep in the Harrier development.

I've been wondering about that Harrier. You got another buyer here. Love your Mirage 2000! Please oh please encourage someone to make a Falklands map to go with that Harrier. ;) :D

Nice. However, A/G radar has been coming for years :music_whistling: It's kind of like saying 3-4 weeks in BMS.

Anyway, I hope you are right it would be great to have and open up a lot of great aircraft for DCS.

Well, since we have a vested interest in the A/G radar we get more info about the real progress in development.

ED has a working prototype, but it requires refining. Thus I am not being facetious when I said that it will probably be available to us on the second half of this year.

- French Mirage 2000C RDM used Super 530F

- Export Mirage 2000E RDM were fitted with Continuous Wave Illuminator (CWI) to guide Super 530D which has better speed & range. Yet it doesn't improve the limited look down/ shoot down.

- Mirage 2000H mainly used Litening pod.

- Mirage 2000E have a different data bus. This is why it can use TGP. So replacing the data bus is not small upgrade, you have to strip down the aircraft and likely go back to factory...
