=DECOY= Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 While I wait for new things to be added to DCS, I Decided to Expand the VR On/Off Options a little bit and use some of the Oculus Diagnostic Tools. I Have provided an Easy Button and Menu for Oculus Mirror Window. When Clicked it Will Open a Mirror Window Instead of the DCS Preview Window, For Easier Recording / Broadcasting While Playing VR. The Oculus Mirror Settings Screen Will Offer: Path Box, to paste the path to /Oculus-Diagnostics/ Folder Browse and Verify Buttons 4 Rendering Types: -Rectilinear Both Eyes (Both Eyes With Out Distortion -Post Distortion (Both Eyes With Distortion) -Left Eye Only (Left Eye Only) -Right Eye Only (Right Eye Only) The Custom Resolution Checkbox Will Allow You to Override the Default 1366x768 Resolution of the Mirror Window to Anysize you Enter (Width x Height) Up to your Screens Maximum. All Settings on the Oculus Mirror Settings Page will save/load w/ App as well. Will Post DCS Screenshots Tonight. **Note These Settings Will not Work on Vive or other Non-Rift HMDs** Wow ....you sir are a legend !!!!! SkateZilla Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) damn it Skate :D, you've done it again, I just spent a small while typing instructions to how to set up the mirror tool in another thread, and you come along and update the utility, think that's 3 times now you've made instructional posts of mine redundant :D Great utility, now if only every man/woman and his/her dog would use it :D I've been working on it for a while on and off, but the EXE Arguments were not working with VB Studio because they all start with "--" (For Some reason, using "--ARGUMENT" in a dim array, would run the command as "OculusMirror.exeARGUMENT" instead of "OculusMirror.exe --ARGUMENT") I had to devise a control array that would allow both setting render mode and custom resolution. Things like notifications and guardian were not integrated yet due to the Argument structure, but I may add them later, But to be honest there's no point in integrating those.. I did notice a FPS drop, but I couldn't tell if it was because I had 3 screens plus the rift running, OBS and Windows Aero off or not. So once I get a chance to run without extra stuff running then I'll release. Waiting to see if theres a dcs argument to run witj VR Preview Window Off. But will Prolly release next version tonight, I need to debug some more to make sure OculusMirror is stable. Im still having issues injecting Resolutions depending on Render Setting w/ the App, but the command lines work fine, so I have to figure out the Arguments. I May Remove Custom Resolution Option and Limit to: DEFAULT, 720P, 1080P, 1440P and 2160P Edited January 9, 2018 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
SkateZilla Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) .. More Preview Screens: Custom Resolution Option is Disabled for the Time Being, Both Render Type and Render Resolution Options Save w/ App Settings, if no Option is set it will default to Left Eye 1366x768 APP Menus Options: Oculus Mirror Window: RECTILINEAR BOTH EYES, DISTORTION BOTH EYES, SINGLE EYE Attached. Using OBS, You can Set it to Record the Oculus Mirror Window. So Far in Testing, I've encountered some sort of time out, after a while the Mirror will go blank. SkateZilla Posted January 14, 2018 Author Posted January 14, 2018 (edited) that's weird, there's no boolean strings in the code... Currently uses .net 4.5\ I take that back, there's one boolean string, for the settings update. Try deleting: (C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Skate_Zilla_Graphics _Stud\DCS_Updater_Utility.exe_StrongName_eyxzuj3ck tofe3uzj1jdj4xy20o4mjbq\1.0.0.0\user.config) Edited January 14, 2018 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
SkateZilla Posted January 14, 2018 Author Posted January 14, 2018 So I was able to re-produce by removing the code for settings save/update. Issue is, the code reports clean and compiles clean, so I'm not sure why the boolean is being reported as empty and not working on windows 10. Re-compiled and uploaded a new version, if this one works I'll move it to the first post.DCS Updater Utility-01-14-2018-1.zip Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

Domcho Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 For some reason, when I try to switch my 1.5.8 to the Open Beta, regardless if it is from command prompt or GUI app, I get: "The installed version 1.5.8.12823.414 is up to date". I get the same info popup if I try to switch to release. Seems I am unable to switch to the Open Beta for unknown reason.
