razorseal Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Hey everyone, I'm currently on 1.2.16.43180 and I was getting the update via the updater until my system crashed due to something unrelated... now when I launch DCS world, it's skipping the updates. Is there a way for me to force the updater, or do I have to uninstall EVERYTHING and reinstall??? :helpsmilie: Appreciate some help! perhaps there is a way to launch the updater manually
Sryan Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 on the desktop, hit the start key. type in "DCS update" you should see a function that forces DCS to update Check my F-15C guide
Faelwolf Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Assuming you are using windows: All Programs> Eagle Dynamics> DCS World> Update DCS World
apolloace Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Goto (on Win 7) START MENU->All Programs->Eagle Dynamics->DCS World->Update DCS World. That should do it. :) :) Rig - I7-9700K/GIGABYTE Z390D/RTX-2080 SUPER/32-GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE RAM/1-TB SSD Mods - A10C / F18C / AV8B / Mig21 / Su33 / SC / F14B
Ohgr Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 If that doesn't work try going into the DCS World bin file then with your mouse over and empty spot in the folder hold Lshift and right click. In the menu that opens click "Open command window here" in command window type DCS_Updater.exe then enter. That worked for me when I had issues. You can also run a repair this way by typing DCS_Updater.exe repair Hope it helps :thumbup: V/R, Ohgr VCVW-11 "Vapor" USN AE 2001-2015 Heatblur Tomcat Tester
razorseal Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Got it... Thanks guys! Installed 2.0 as well, but that seems like a dedicated DCSW for nevada only, which I don't have yet. I figured maybe they're all combined already
Sryan Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 you can grab the 1.5 client though. It has a lot of the new stuff. It's going to take quite some time before the current map is ready to be ported into DCSW 2. Check my F-15C guide
brindle Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I have both versions (1.5 & 2.0). Web site says "2.0.1" is released, but my '2.0' still shows "2.0.0" even after purchasing the new A-10C campaign. (I don't have steam versions). I used the 'DCS 2.0 Updater', still shows 'updated to 2.0.0.45...' Am I missing something here?

Mike5560 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I had to do the same thing with the update: I was reading the A-10 Red flag mission cards while launching/ updating and the updater did not finish as it was attempting to delete the 3 mission cards I was reading.
