The switch in Mirage(?) is to specific to find to buy, unless from military supply.

Buy the generic from eBay and 3D print a new cover, similar do this that people did for F-16.

Leo Bodnar have this dual knob:

You usually use nuts to tighten it down. Like here:

http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/sc-515/red-switch-cover/1.html

If you go to that site, you'll see other switches as well.

It's this kind of thing you're looking for I presume - dual rotary encoders

If you can supply a better look of the switch guard, i might be able to 3D print the top for you? if it has any interest.

The measures are there: http://tinyurl.com/zsmmy7j

The purpose of this hole is additional safety lock (what is not need in flight games), and for show if switch are in that position, the safety lock is present in some of non holed caps: http://tinyurl.com/zg3ht6s

The linked in Conrad is expensive because is done by APEM for military/industrial market, look at this suitcase demo stand:

To make the hole - for show if the switch is in position - is need coincide the hole with switch ON (or OFF) position.

Other type that will be difficult to find (if exist)...

What (pit'builder) people do is use a DPDT* ON-OFF-ON switch,

a swtich with double electrical circuit but only one lever, and wire in this way.

ononon.gif

So in all 3 positions of the lever: Up - Middle - Down one ON circuit is closed.

What do the trick is the wire jumper (red) between some poles.

* DPDT switch is the one with 6 pins in the back:

not toggle? you mean not Momentary?

Why not use a normal on-off-on and then let the software tell it where it is when its not activated, DCS BIOS does that.

not momentary....

if you see at the first pic just below the (2) red arrow i drew...

there is a 3-way switch (VENT / G/ D)

so only if there is an ON-ON-ON not momentary switch will be ideal

thanks again :smilewink::smilewink::smilewink::smilewink:

Very interesting approach. However I have never seen any on-off-on switches with the contacts split over upper and lower set when in the middle position. Not saying that there aren't any, just that the ones I have is either up or down in the connections.

Stelios, you can use any ON-OFF-ON toggle switch and edit the default.lua in the mirage input folder to let the game know what command you want the OFF position to do. Buying ON-ON-ON switches is a waste of money when you can do this
