EEch Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) For some reason i can't set engine power above 80% so i can't use afterburner. It's look like throttle don't move above maximum. I'm use KM+Xbox360 pad. Any help? DCS ver. 1.5.3 Edited March 12, 2016 by EEch
EEch Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 Look like this problem exist only in steam beta. In current release all work normal.
mattebubben Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Do you have the Afterburner Switch in the Up position? With the Switch up (on) the afterburner will active on max throttle but with the switch down (off) the afterburner wont activate and full throttle is just Mill Power. :Edit I tried in my game and the afterburner works just fine for me. (With the Afterburner Switch being on by default) (on the Open beta version) But double check the Position of the Afterburner Switch (even if it should be on by default) Edited March 12, 2016 by mattebubben
spiddx Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Also check if everything is alright with your throttle axis (axis tune function in the control setup). 1.JaVA_Platypus Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 What's a KM? Also, the Xbox controller is not an optimal device for use with flight simulators. Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
EEch Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Also check if everything is alright with your throttle axis (axis tune function in the control setup). I'm use buttons on keyboard not axis.

EEch Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 What's a KM? Also, the Xbox controller is not an optimal device for use with flight simulators. Keyboard+mouse. Xbox 360 work nice in sims. Much better when cheap Joysticks.
mattebubben Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Still no afterburner, i just switch afterburner switcher few times, look like in open betta this switcher just not work. It works for me =P. And also are you sure yo got the right switch? And not the Emergency afterburner switch. Keyboard+mouse. Xbox 360 work nice in sims. Much better when cheap Joysticks. Well it depends on the joystick. There are plenty of cheap joysticks that are plenty good.
Buzzles Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 In your OP you said your throttle only goes up to 80%. That's nothing to do with any cockpit switches. That sounds like either a binding conflict, a calibration issue, or simply an axis setting. Have you tried calibrating your pad's sticks or removing the control bindings for the '21 (and let DCS generate a new set) to see if that fixes the issues? Or easier, just remove the axis binding for your throttle and check it goes to 100% when just using the keyboard commands? Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!

And have same results with keybord +/- buttons and buttons on my XBOX360 in previous release all was OK. Here screen, throttle just don't go above this level. All switches ON Edited March 15, 2016 by EEch
Buzzles Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Have you checked to see if there *is* any clashing bindings? Have you tried it with the 360 pad disconnected? My point is that there's nothing in the cockpit that limits throttle travel at that point, so it has to be control based. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!

Here screen, throttle just don't go above this level. All switches ON I also can't get the throttle beyond military power using the keys in 1.5. It works fine using the axis.

Well if I use the Keyboard buttons instead of the axis I can't get the throttle to the AB stage either... €: sniped Edited March 15, 2016 by spiddx Specs: i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds
EEch Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.com/view.php?id=215 They fix it in next patch. :joystick:
MortarRat Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Thanks for calling attention to the issue EEch. I am suffering from the same issue, on the steam open beta.
313_Nevo Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I encountered the same after the last patches (no steam)
Babushka Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Hi HELP! Anybody. I don't use a 'throttle on joystick' but I always use the '+' and '-' keys on my numeric keypad. I usually just pressed '+' all the way and the engine will go into "Afterburner" - normal. Then after the update which was the last one (1.5.3.51417.46) yesterday, the afterburner won't work anymore. The engine RPM would just stay at 100% power - and I've pressed the '+' button all the way. I've tried lighting up the burner with the AB switch and tried Emergency AB to no avail as well. What happened? They are no binding switches conflict, I dunno as I've never changed or touched those. DCS on OSX. Virtual pilot for 28 years. Love the warbirds and Cold-War era aircrafts.
Halcon87 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I have the same problem. Where can I download the patch that fix it?
urpark Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Same problem here, waiting for that patch to be released since WEEKS! It is really a bummer to fly without afterburner... :( it destroys completly the experience and I dont want to fly it anymore..
Halcon87 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I requested my money back by paypal, this airplane hast problems since its release. Leatherneck doesn´t do it´s job.
Art-J Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I've read, that apparently, the first stage of afterburner works, but after recent patch, it just needs to be turned on by a switch on the left panel, near engine relight switch (similar issue to the aileron booster "bug"). I'm not on my gaming rig so cannot confirm it. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
