The responsiveness of menus and dialogs is from time to time very slow,

one clicks in "OK" or"cancel" and it takes up to 15 seconds for the command to

effectively run. :bored:

This happens in the editor, but especially in the in-game. Sometimes assigning a joystick

button or keyboard key does not even work, one has to select it from the drop-down list.

(See screenshot).

I thought this was an exclusive problem of DCS 2.0 xx, but

I have noticed that it appears also in 1.5.3.

Never had that in 1.2xx, on the same rig.

After a clean install of both Windows 10 and DCS World 1.5.3

this problem persists.

Restarting DCS helps for some time,

but It after a while, it happens again.

I've noticed that assigning buttons or keys sometimes requires quite a few clicks, but I haven't seen any menu slowness.

Dear Shilka. I hate you so very very much. Love, Rex

Similar problem, specifically when editing controls, sometimes button press doesn't register many times, and when editing loadouts pre-mission the game can hang for 10-15 seconds randomly. I also noticed this in Multiplayer server browser, it will often hang, or at least won't update server info when you click into a different one.

Right....

as I said in the other thread

personally not seeing the issue.

to report it, I either need to see it myself or have the data to show it is happening.

I can not report something if I do not have any thing to show

attach your whole logs folder zipped, also dxdiag reports, anything to help show the issue.

I noticed the same sort of problem when I upgraded to 1.5, but only in the Mission Editor start sequence when I go to Open Mission and Fly Mission, it just seems a lot slower, but not nearly as long as 15 seconds. 4 or 5 seconds at most, where it used to be instant.

Make sure you have no programmes or processes running in the back ground.

add DCS to your anti virus white / ignore list see if it makes a difference

Hi,

After several 1.5.4.xxxxx updates, (now DCS 1.5,4.57114) this problem is

still very much present as described earlier in this same post.

I don't experience something similar in any other

game or software running in the same rig.

Update:

I have recently installed 2.03 and the problems described at the beginning of this thread persist, even if less grave, in 2.0.3 the maximum wait for DCS to react is about 10 seconds.

I don't experience something similar in any other game or software running in the same rig,

no antivirus other than the defender of Microsoft. All non-vital processes killed.

This happens in the editor, but especially in the in-game. Sometimes assigning a joystick

button or keyboard key does not even work, one has to select it from the drop-down list.

Restarting DCS solves the problem for a while, but after 15-30 minutes it starts again.

I sincerely hope this issue will be resolved in 2.5.....

I have an update about this matter,

it seems that this problem appears

ONLY when using the Mirage and the MIG-21.

In fact, I have been playing hours with the A-10,

BF-109, FW, F-86, MIG-15, P-51 and KA-50 with no problems at all.

As soon as the Mirage or MIG 21 are used, the responsiveness of the dialogs

mission editor etc. decreases hugely, as described in the beginning of this post.

ED, Leatherneck and RAZBAM please advise and thanks!
