Absolutely gorgeous job DirtyFret. I just made a before/after picture of the main pilot panel for making it easier to get an idea of the improvement.

I have a full set (mostly full?) of these in English and I'll see if I can help you. I'm currently sorting through them on my floor. ;)

 

But just for general purposes... The "LH" and RH" are sort of redundant on the governor panel, as they are already labeled above as left or right. I would personally suggest dropping the "LH" and "RH" and renaming "TEST" to "FT", since again, the word "TEST" is redundant. In other words, I'd label them "FT1" on top (both engines) and "FT2" on the bottom. Also, for examnple, "EMER PWR" is usually just labeled "CP" for contingency power.

 

EDIT: Can't find a panel in my collection for the governor panel, although I seem to have just about everything else (sans armament). I'll take a picture of one on Monday and see how you like it.

 

Amazing collection AlphaOneSix. :) Id'love to get a photo of the GVRN panel and thanks for the tips , I actually pondered those same things when doing this, it seemed so cluttered. I used this Fig for the governor panel.

 

 

I am entertaining the thought of creating a russian version of this or doing a completely new "factory fresh" HD version of the cockpit so any source material/photos is appreciated.

I installed this mod to 2.0.

I am very impressed, i saw a big quality difference. I higly recommend this mod to all hip pilots. Thanks for the effort.

 

The points that i like most;

 

* Wiper effects on the front window

* Glass effect on doppler hover control indicator

* Over-paint effects on middle blister

 

I have a problem in 2.0 and i am not sure it is because of this mod, because i don't see this problem in 1.5 which this mod isn't installed.

In the middle radio panel, i can not set the atc frequencies because the digits after (.) are not shown correctly. They are soppose to be like this "25, 50, 75, 00" but instead now they are like this: "24, 49, 74, 99" so i can not make contact with the tower.

Please advise.

I am glad to see that you like it but how unfortunate that you encountered/found that somewhat serious issue. Could you please provide a screenshot of the item/issue in question, it would help a lot in starting to solve this issue.

 

Does anyone/everyone else with 2.0 encounter this?

Thanks for the screenie. Those numbers/font are definitely from my remake. I'll try to locate those numbers and test the description.lua for some hints as to the cause of that. In 1.5.3 the numbers and R863 are fine and work as intended. I do not own the NTTR 2.0 map and without it might prove difficult to fix this.:noexpression: I'll see what I can do. (maybe buy the NTTR map? :D)

I do believe this could be a DCS 2 bug since the last update, as this problem existed with me before I installed this wonderful cockpit.

Absolutely it is. Here is a good mod to clean the glass from our good friend Devrim. Or if you prefer the original just swap the mi8mtv-cpt-glass.dds file from the original cockpit texture pack.

Looks nice. I won't change the current color layouts in the existing packs but this paint combo I like alot so I might do a "Lightgray (#D3D3D3 or #C0C0C0) version of it. Quickly looking through my PSD files I would guestimate that it will take no more than ~3-4h of additional work to do this "repaint" so I might do it. No promises yet though as I am still working on some other minor upgrades on the Gray and Blue-one but will see :smilewink:

Obviously there seems you love what you're doing. :)

 

But... but I'd like to point two things, if you won't get me wrong.

At first sight, new fantastic font seems weird to me, but I won't comment on it.

Second; back panel should look like metal or something I think. It looks like a wall buddy.

 

Except those, you've made excellent work. Thank you. I think I should uninstall my mod from harddrive. :D

Hey all, sry for the absence. I've been swamped with work, academic stuff and happy family life :D.

 

I've had almost zero flight time in DCS and subsequently have had only very limited time to work with the updates. ..but I am slowly working on them. The switchbases on the centralpanel are (almost) done. Also the light gray version is coming along slowly but steadily. Soon TM

Thanks, I am happy that you like it. The text style I chose because of personal preference but I have to agree on the backwall issue. It could be (alot) better. I'll eventually try some iterations on it and if the spec maps start working it might actually start to look like metal and not concrete :D To my defence the backwall was the first section I edited back in late 2015, my skills are now better than that

Sry not yet. I cant write/read cyrillic. If I find a russian skilled collaborator with photoshop skills I hope we can publish a RUS version of this.

LightGray version has been uploaded to DCS User Files. Pending approval currently. The impatient ones can spam F5 on Mi8MTV mods or on my user files. :D

 

Additionally the switch bases on the central panel have been reworked to HD level.

 

 

Please keep in mind that the LightGray combo has not been as thoroughly tested as the BLUE and GRAY before release so there might be some (or even major) issues with mismatches or texture overlaps. Report them to me by PM or on this thread please.
