External model not showing properly:

Also I´m unable to make it track any laser.

Suggestion: Maybe you can change that bomb from loadout for the GBU-27

I don´t know if this one is going to work with a Laser, but at least seems better.

Pretty sure these textures are defined by ED and since no aircraft use these there wasnt really any effort put into this.

Mirage then just loads these weapons from the game but i could be wrong

We've ween ED retexturing missiles and bombs and rocket racks lately so I'm guessing they're working on this

The problem is that now we don´t have any 1.000Kg LGB working, and it will be great to have one to destroy buildings and bridges that other planes can´t destroy or they need lots of amunitions.

Unfortunately the M-2000C RDI is not rated to carry bombs larger than 500Kgs.

would be cool if they allowed 2xGBU-12's on AUF-2's on wing pylons instead of this useless GBU-24!

Please stop with the PMs. I acknowledge that I was wrong.

The GBU-24 is a MK-84 (2000 pounds - 984 Kg) with guidance package.

So, yes. The M-2000C RDI can carry 1000 Kg bombs in the centerline pylon.

Under the wings it would be "dumb" bombs, not GBUs. ;)

And the 24 is not useless AFAIK.

but why ? those are "smart" pylons :) they can launch '530s!

at it's current state in DCS, it is

I don't know why.

I note those are not the same pylons, just the same place under the wing ;)

OK, didn't test it.

IRL twin GBU-12 on wing pylon would conflict with landing gear.

The thing is it's supposed to be a simulation and reflect the real aircraft capacities and payload.

So GBU capacity came late in M-2000C life, and in current world, AG missions need a lot of fuel.

CAS (GBU-12) need playtime, so 2 wing tanks.

GBU-24 are used for hardened target, so often far range = 2 wing tanks.

In the end, load out configuration test are expensive, so FAF don't certify load out they won't use, even if it's technically possible.

What is planned by Razbam is realistic.

Theoretically, Laser guided bombs can be dropped from any aircraft capable of dropping unguided ordnance, airframe interference and flight test clearance notwithstanding. The Paveway kit is entirely self contained and requires no electrical or avionics interface with the carrying aircraft.

dunno why, but after I've read your message, I imagined two guys in a biplane dropping GBU-12 manually ...

Ok, then If is correct to carry a GBU-24 but actually doesn´t work and also have an horrible model, what is the better and faster solution?

Can Razbam change the loadout for the GBU-27? or I report that in the "DCS World » 1.5 Open Beta Bugs and Problems »Object Errors" and pray for ED to fix that bug in two weeks??

GBU-24 won't be repair? Right? :(

If by "repair" has a new 3D model, that need ED build them.

Its seeker doesn't find any laser.

Are you releasing the weapon while in a 25°+/- dive?

Please take a look at this thread for what I once thought was a bug: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=208695&highlight=gbu

The GBU-24 won't track anyway.

The in-game Mirage is fully capable of level-flight or toss bombing, all you have to do is designate a point in front of the actual target, because all LGBs tend to glide a lot. If you accurately designate the target position, the bomb could glide past it without picking up the laser. Depending on your release altitude and speed, you can designate 3nm in front of the target and still hit it, probably not super-realistic, but it works.

If you want to use the gbu-24 with the Mirage, paste this code at the end of the \DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Database\Weapons\bombs_table.lua file (before 'end'):

declare_paveway_2("GBU_24", _("GBU-24"), "GBU-24", wsType_Bomb_Guided, "bomb-paveway-II-afm", {
fm =
{
		mass            = 1050.0,
		caliber         = 0.457000,
		cx_coeff        = {1.000000, 0.390000, 0.60000, 0.1680000, 1.310000},
           L               = 4.368,
		wind_sigma      = windCoeff * 220.0,
		Sw				= 2 * 1.75 * math.pow(24 * 2.45 * 0.01 / math.sin(2 * math.pi / 6), 2) / 2.5,
		A				= 0.6,
		maxAoa			= math.rad(7),
		finsTau			= 0.1
},
bang_bang_autopilot = {
	omegaDumpingK = 0.30
},
warhead = warheads["Mk_84"],
}, {
char_time       = 20.34
},
"wAmmunitionLaserHoming"
);

Or, if you want to use a GBU-24 with BLU-109 penetration bomb for hardened targets, paste this code

declare_paveway_2("GBU_24", _("GBU-24"), "GBU-24", wsType_Bomb_Guided, "bomb-paveway-II-afm", {
fm =
{
		mass            = 944.0,
		caliber         = 0.457000,
		cx_coeff        = {1.000000, 0.390000, 0.60000, 0.1680000, 1.310000},
           L               = 4.368,
		wind_sigma      = windCoeff * 220.0,
		Sw				= 2 * 1.75 * math.pow(24 * 2.45 * 0.01 / math.sin(2 * math.pi / 6), 2) / 2.5,
		A				= 0.6,
		maxAoa			= math.rad(7),
		finsTau			= 0.1
},
bang_bang_autopilot = {
	omegaDumpingK = 0.30
},
warhead = warheads["BLU_109"],
}, {
char_time       = 20.34
},
"wAmmunitionLaserHoming"
);

The GBU-24 is not already present in the file, I guess this is why it won't work. I wrote the code using info from GBU-16, GBU-10 and MK-84 in bombs_table.lua, plus some open source info on the mass (which are probably not accurate).
