shaDe55 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Are we able to laze targets like for the A10 or M2000
Sryan Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Negatory. The laser is only for rangefinding. Not for designation. Check my F-15C guide
Ramsay Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 No. The Viviane laser is to measure distance, not guide weapons (that would need a different and stronger laser). i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
shaDe55 Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 Did they ever incorporate this into the helicopter? Seems weird as its a scout chopper
Mt5_Roie Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Well it's a 1970's scout helicopter. Back then they just called out targets on the radio to the other guys. People have been killing each longer before lasers were around. Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
joey45 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Did someone say........ laser?? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. "Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.." https://ko-fi.com/joey45
Mt5_Roie Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I guess if you got good enough you could point the laser in some infantry eyes and cause them eye damage. But not sure that's modeled in ED just yet. Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
Ligeti Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I guess if you got good enough you could point the laser in some infantry eyes and cause them eye damage. But not sure that's modeled in ED just yet. I like to simulate having a routine maintanance accident where the laser goes in my eyes by punching myself in the face.
dimitriov Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 90% of the accidents in French army as long as we lack of money to make them fly :D 5% : HOT on the foot 5% : headache because of too many hours on the simulator
