Here's an addition to my 352nd FG collection, another blue nose bastard of Bodney. George E Preddy is probably my favorite caracter of the 352nd, so I wanted to paint this one for a very long time I hope you like it. It only works in 2.1.

I know, this should be a P-51B, but I just finished reading "Bailout over Normandy" by Ted Fahrenwald, and I just HAD TO paint this one. 2 days after D-day he was strafing trucks, and an explosion damaged his Mustang so bad that he had to bail out. He joined the Marquis, escaped, got captured by Germans, escaped, walked all over Normandy drinking every farmhouse dry. All this in such a fantastic style and language...I can only recommend it ,a real page turner!

I started working on my Sabre skins to make them 2.1 compatible. Here's how it looks so far. Not going to release any of them until ED fixes 2.1, I refuse to put long hours of work into something I paid for and is getting worse and worse.

More work done on the F-86. I haven't only reworked the colors, but I adjusted the size and position of markings and I also changed the color of the interior of the wheel brakes to interior green from the stock red.

 

As soon as I'm 100% happy with it, I'll start redoing the rest of them.

Hi All,

 

I finally managed to rework my Sabre skins. I didn't only redo the spec layer, but also adjusted the colors to make them fit in the general look of 2.1, and also corrected the markings to be historically accurate. It was a tremendous work, so I hope you'll like them.

I really hope nothing else is going to change that affects the skins. I meant the lighting system looks pretty much final in terms of visuals. The might tweak the performance, but this is the engine we'll see in 2.5 too, isn't it? I put way more than a 100 hours re-doing all my P-51s and F-86s, I will definitely not do it again..EVER :D

Looking good, but I don't think I'll have much time for skinning nowadays. 'm going on a long holiday soon. I also burned out a little, having reworked 2-3 dozen skins for 2.1 :/
