Ok, i uploaded a video, only 3-4 seconds, but you can see what i mean.

Jesus christ how big is this file? A 3-4 second video in .avi format shouldn't be over 100mb.

EDIT: Oh, 4k, that explains it.

EDIT TO THE EDIT: When I open it up, it looks like a slide show. Drop your resolution down to 1920x1080 and see what happens.

More analysis required

Hi Lenux,

first of all, I feel really sorry for you; this must be frustrating. You say that in in some scenario the problem occurs only after some time. This sounds more like a hardware problem (something warming up and malfunctioning). But then you say it only happens with the Bf-109 and that would speak against a hardware problem.

Could there be a hardware problem that would cause problems only for the Bf-109? In theory this could happen if there were a button or key with a problem, and this button is only active for the Bf-109.

The .diff.lua files you have uploaded don't give any hint. I suppose you have not modified the default.lua files under "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\Input\Bf-109K-4" ?

Still, it might be worthwhile to look at these. Can you upload that folder?

I'm still a bit obsessed with the fact that the Num 5 key causes a shaking display when the TrackIR is active. I tried this and found that Num 5 does this for most modules but not all: (Only 3 modules tested in 2.02)

------------1.5.3-------- 2.0.2

A-10C ----- Yes -------- YES

Bf-109 ------Yes ---------YES

F-86F -------No -------- Yes!!!

FW-190 ---- Yes

SU-27 ------Yes

F-15C------- No

KA-50 ------ Yes

L-39 ----- very little

M-2000 -- only when looking right

MIG-21 ----- No

P-51D when looking forward

SU-25T ---- Yes

In my humble opinion Num 5 should be disabled for all modules when TrackIR is active just like the other Num keys. But of course I don't know if that would help Lenux.

Regards,

Hans

Hi Lenux,

I don't see anything suspicious in these files. Also I see from the files you uploaded earlier that you have removed Num5 from the keyboard configuration; so at least in theory, if a hardware malfunction produced a code equal to Num5 it could not affect the game.

I guess I'm at the end of my wisdom. I recommend you contact support with this and point them to this thread so they can see what we have found so far.

on the web site of DCS (http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com) there is a link to "Support". Choose "User Support" and log in.

Can you try one thing for me, there is a generic or general (something like that) section for controls, go in there and clear everything out, including axis assignments. I have had things conflict with that before.

Hi Lenux, I guess Sith isn't going to wake up for a while. Don't delete any folder or file!

In the game (DCS) click on options (where you assign buttons and axes to sim functions) and in the aircraft selection dropdown select "General". I had never realized this existed myself and just went there for the first time. And there is a number of assignments that Sith recommends you to take out, because they might conflict with the settings for specific aircraft. Don't forget the axis settings!

When i select " General " i have nothing assigned, there ( except the keyboard )

On the Axis settings, i have only Pitch / Roll for the joystick and Throttle for the HOTAS

Strange, I had a number of joystick/throttle/pedal button assignments there. Among others, the "View center" was assignmed to JOY_BTN5 on joystick, throttle and pedals.

I have never been into "General" before so these assignments were created by DCS. I guess this is because I have the TM HOTAS.

Did you remove the Pitch and Roll assignments from "General"?

I dont know if i removed the Pitch and Roll assignments from "General " because i tried a lot of settings.

Should i try to uninstall Bf 109 ( delete the Bf-109K-4 folder from Saved Games ) and reinstall this, again ??

No, you have already re-installed several times. But delete all axis and all button assignments (except keyboard and mouse), and try if the problem persists.
