[Request] German Navy helicopters Sea Lynx and Sea King

Fictional UH-1H skins resembling German Navy helicopters Sea Lynx and Sea King would be great.

 

The GNY Sea Lynxs feature interesting nose arts. I think every single helicopter has its own individual name and nose art. Might be interesting for devoted skin artists.

True, but although I appreciate the artists effort, they are not that realistic unfortunately.

Just to show the progress.

 

First steps were done, but still some to go. cause you have to do specular maps for everything and this needs much more time. and the positioning - oh god!

And on the top of that i have to merge the characteristics of Heer and Marine together, like the size of markings, lables, etc

 

A livery for the Huey really needs more than just 6h of work - like on the M2kC ;)

Is it possible to put the registration and iron cross on the large cabin doors or the aft cabin and the "Marine" label on the tail boom?

Yea, it is possible. For now, i merged the layout of the lables from the Huey at the Bundeswehr, Truppengattung on the tail, number and marking on the boom, Geschwaderabzeichen on the doors with the one of the Marineflieger.

 

But cause the layout of the Marineflieger AND the Huey differs at the Bundeswehr over the years it's very complicated to create something who look realistic but also good.

Like Truppengattung on the doors, the nose or no one - blacked nosetop - with or without Geschwaderabzeichen - different anchors...

 

And on top of that, the Huey has a smaller texture-resolution than, for example, the M2kC.

So i can't get a sharp and clear look of some small details, what bothering me, cause i want to do it perfect :(

 

But in the end, if the details are designed, i will release a package including a few different versions of liveries so everybody can choose the look he prefers. (like the layout you deserve) :)

Years ago in LFC2 there was a Lynx listed in the aircraft section.

 

It never materialised in the LFC2 game and was gone by DCS, I wonder what happened to it.
